Whoa, site looks different now. Anyway...
Ever since I've started trying to LD I've met with limited success. My first LD was amazing and very vivid, but after that vividness began to wane, and I noticed I was only ever getting LDs once every 3 to 4 months, and never when I was actually actively trying to LD. Usually what happens is I get a spurt of interest and my efforts go up for about two weeks, and then after the interest wanes and another two weeks go by, I'll get a random DILD. Or perhaps two months later. From what I've heard, trying too hard to get an LD can completely block your efforts, and from experience this is what I believe I'm mostly doing wrong. So, my question is how exactly does a person actively pursue the ability to lucid dream without crossing the line of "trying too hard"? I don't want to sit and wait for them to come to me randomly, and I don't want to pour effort into it and get them coming to me randomly anyway either <_> I've been at this for three years and the best I've been able to accomplish is kickstarting them into existence. Anyone got any tips?
