In my opinion, you do. Some people might think that since you're concious the whole time that you will remember everything. I've had a few wilds here and there, and sometimes I don't recall the whole thing. This is just my take though, it's different for everyone.
      Lucid dreams, gotta love em.

Yeah. It's not absolutely needed, but it's sort of an imperative. How would you enjoy having an awesome WILD and then not being able to remember any of it?

Well like after I go into the WILD and come out of it, will I remember it or wrote it down or will you be missing parts?

Good recall to WILD? Well, that's an odd question, likely because you're confused about what exactly that recall is for. To clear it up, I'll put it bluntly:
Recall (or dream recall) is being able to remember the details of your dreams.
WILD is a lucid dream induction technique that doesn't require the noticing of dream signs to induce lucidity, instead relying on your ability to keep your mind awake and aware as your body falls asleep.

Therefore, good recall is only necessary for WILDing if you actually care to remember the lucid dreams you will have from successful WILDs.
Would you like to remember the awesome lucids you have? If so, then get a dream journal and exercise your mind, strain to remember your dreams as soon as you wake up from them, every time you wake up. You'll see an improvement within a week.

I'm not on DV much these days, but I'll try to toss a cool dream or two into my DJ.

So yes, it's required for every lucid dream induction method - not to induce lucid dreams, but to fully enjoy and your lucid experiences.

Manatra is Frank Sinatra's mantra. XD You mean mantra there, and yes, that works well. Remember to ask your subconscious to work with you to remember your dreams, because demanding doesn't usually work. More flies are to be gained with honey than with demanding shouts, you know.

why wouldn't you be able to remember it... from what i think would be is since your going into a ld from waking awareness your brain would have an easier time remembering it and i remember all my lucid dreams but that was before i found this sight and before i would maybe have a ld once a year but everyone's different so maybe it's just me

I think you have a little more chances remembering a WILD than others methods of lucid dreaming if not the same. After all, you can have a DILD with an awesome awareness and a WILD with little awareness.

Why wouldn't you be able to remember it? Because it's a a lucid dream, meaning you're still subject to the same (or similar) rules of remembering dreams. Dreams are typically erased between REM phases, remember, and since a lucid dream is still a dream, it's no exception.
