      Doing it right?

      Hello all,

I have been trying to induce a lucid dream with MILD, yet I am not sure if I am doing it right. When I get back into bed after a WBTB, my brain is usually very tired and cloudy, and I try to keep repeating something along the lines of "next time I am in a dream, I will realize I am dreaming" and after repeating that a few times, I visualize myself in my last dream and someone tells me I am dreaming. Then I repeat the process many times until I pas out or my mind wanders because I am not concious enough to keep repeating.

Also, when I wake up in the night, I remember the dream I just came out of but when I wake in the morning after my attempt, I don't remember any dreams since the ones I remembered upon waking up at night.

Also, how do the dream cycles work? I mean when I set my alarm to wake in the middle of one, do I set it 1hr and 45 mins ahead or 1 hr and 15 mins ahead? I know its usually 1hr and 30 mins but I would like to leave room for error.

      thanks in advance

As far as dream cycles go err on the 1:15 side if you are going to MILD or WILD, or 1:40ish if you want to remember your dreams...

Alright thanks. Now a new question (old ones still stand if anyone wants a crack at answering )

If I were to wake up to remember dreams, how would that make my recall go up? I mean isn't it just a quick fix for the night taht you use the technique or does taht embed in your mind how to recall in later attempts?

Ehh...It would be more of a quick fix. By waking up immediately after the dream cycle, you avoid sinking back in to deep sleep, which is where dreams are forgotten.
You would forget your dreams if you didn't wake up right after them.

So the only real way to truly increase dream recall is to remember dreams upon awakening?
