Does music have an affect on attaining lucidity?

I really enjoy music so much so that I compose music and listen to alot of music. It is a big part of my life. Some reason it is not showing up much in my dreams. Thats not the point. The point is, can music help to gain lucidity? Have any tips? It would be much obliged. Thanks

That would be an interestin way to get lucid. I don't have music in my dreams much either. When I do I'm usually playing it. Usually I'm on stage with Metallica or something lol

Well some music puts me in the right mood for lucid dreaming. I listen a lot of ambient, shoegaze, drone...which are pretty atmospheric and dreamy genres. Maybe you should try falling asleep while listening to music and see how that influences your dreams. If so, can be your personal way to achieve lucidity : )

I used to play around with music to help me LD because it helps get rid of persistent self-dialogue as you go to sleep or attempt a WILD.

The problem I have with it (or those MP3s for designed for induction) is that when I become lucid I'll start trying to listen for it because I know it's playing in my 'waking life'. When I get fixated on external stimuli, I tend to pop right back out of lucidity. The other problem I have is that I find it hard to link together lucid dreams or re-enter because it'll jar me a bit, where as silence makes it much easier to return to lucidity.

I think it would be awesome if it worked consistently for people though.

Maybe, just for a second, you'll be awestruck.
      ...do you feel it to?
