I know that Lucid dreaming is closely linked to Astral Projecting, but I was wondering in my recent DJ entry, if I was having an OOBE, or Astral Projection. So I woke up around 1 pm, didn't get back to bed until around 2:30 pm and napped until 4. While I was waiting to fall asleep, about 20 minutes in I entered SP. I started hearing crazy noises, I couldn't feel my body at all. Except for this rushing feeling throughout my body. It felt like at certain moments I was in free fall, cause my chest would be heavy, but I had a butterfly effect. Anyway, I blacked out and "awoke" in the black void lucid dreamers should be familiar with. It's just a pitch black area, with only your conscious. Well once I got there, I tried to roll my conscious, or my dream body. And I was able to do it. I felt as if I was floating in midair. In my dream I would end up in my childhood bed, and I could navigate through the house. Once I was able to see, it became super vivid, like real life. Was this an OOBE, or Astral Projection? Not just a lucid dream. Cause when the dream faded, I would reenter that black void, to do the rolling thing again, and reenter another dream. |

I myself have only attained lucidity a few times, so I can not relate with the void. On the other hand, I have attempted to do an OOBE before on many occasions, and nearly succeeded on one. What you are describing is very familiar with what I experienced when I had my close OOBE. What I felt was a falling sensation after I reached SP, From there I heard a rushing noise, and a lifting feeling, though I can relate to a waterfall sound more. It sounds familiar to what you have explained, so maybe you did experience an OOBE. Hopefully I was of some help, And If you did Achieve an OOBE then Congratulation! |
