Am i Lucid or Astraling ?

hello, I have been lucid dreaming and astral projecting ( i Think) for a long time and now I have so many questions. I finally decided to join a forum so I can meet other travelers and share experiences. I would like to know if this is all a dream? Or am i really astral projecting. If you are astral projecting I heard the setting looks the same as reality Is this true? Everytime i 'get out' of my body i always begin in my room. I walk into the hallway and open my front door. Walk outside . If its nighttime its night outside with stars so vibrant and everything so clear. If it is day time I walk outside and the sun is so bright and the grass is so green. I can also float into the air. Ive been getting bored lately of doing the same thing every time this happens so i start to think of people? Sometimes random beings show up and I speak to them mentally. My experience from this morning I wake up and get out from out of my bed. Say a prayer ( Ive always found this helpful to keep me safe ) Open my room door walk outside and the sky is pink as if it was early morning. I wake up physically. I am recently missing an ex boyfriend of mine So as i fall asleep I want to 'see him' in my dream. I go back to sleep wake up walk into my room and i open my door and he is there! So im thinking to myself alright awesome dream! We walk outside and i feel like he is scared Like doesn't know what is going on. I see other 'beings?' outside of my door trying to come in. I yell 'leave get out you are not wanted inside' I tell my "ex boyfriend" to get outside now. As he leaves my house the others disappear. I look at him and I tell him to fly with me. But, doesnt know how so i pick him up? Im not quite sure but I woke up crying. Not sure exactly what was going on But does somebody maybe have an explanation of what this is. ?

I'm sorry, but this forum in not for discussion of "paranormal phenomenon". I'm not sure where you made the connection between lucid dreaming and astral projection. I can assure you lucid dreaming is completely proven and scientifically recognized, astral projection on the other hand is just plain laughable. You had a dream, we all have dreams, some dreams are very vivid and some even lifelike. Dreams can often flood the the emotional centers of your brain, giving you the sensation that an ordinary dream is filled with meaning. All of this however doesn't contradict centuries of scientific research that has all but explained the phenomena. Dreams are awesome enough, why do you need to attach mysticism to it? If you insist of discussing this topic further you must bring it to the "Beyond Dream" section.

Well you need to make up your own mind about whether or not they are just lucid dreams, or an "astral projection"...if you choose to believe such things exist. If you do believe that people can astrally project onto different planes, then I would say this sounds like a typical astral projection on the lower earthly plane. On the lower plane, you'll often come across other beings...mostly darker sort of beings, but not always...who inhabit this lowest astral plane. They can't harm you, so don't fear them. Basically on the lower earthly plane, you'll experience exactly what you describe. The dream will entail you leaving from wherever you're asleep, and everything will look similar to how it is in real life. There might be some differences, like your room might be clean when in fact, it is actually dirty, or something small like that. I used to have these quite often and would always try to leave out the window and go flying and transform the dream into something more fun. You can also try this...tell yourself that when you open your bedroom door, you will open to a new dreamscape. I used to open my bedroom door onto amazing beaches or jungles. Sometimes it might take a try or two of opening and closing the door again before it works. Since you like prayer, I highly suggest saying a prayer in your next lucid dream/AP...this could transport you into a higher more spiritual astral plane or even take you to the akashic records (hall of records)...and there's nothing quite like it. I used to say the Lord's Prayer or the Hail Mary (I'm not even religious, but I was raised Catholic, and these are the only prayers I know). I'm going to move this to Beyond Dreaming and delete your other thread, because we don't want duplicate threads in different forums.

Here is my current understanding. Dreams and OBEs are basically the same thing, so you can call it what you want. There is a level of existence above physical reality which is a realm of thought - a place where one's mind and what one perceives become one. When you sleep, the mind withdraws from the body and projects itself into this realm, albeit unconsciously. An OBE is basically the same as a WILD. It is just a method of entering into this place consciously. You may have an OBE where you float around your house like a ghost, and this just means that you have stayed very close to the physical realm. People will often say that they had an OBE but then it turned into a dream. They have simply begun to ascend beyond the physical focus. So if everything looks like it does in real life, it just means that you are still very closely tied to the physical plane. Once things become different, it means you have begun to rise above that focus.

One way you can tell if it's the astral realm is the hues, if the hues are amazing it's probably the astral good luck we're all in this together.
