      Sleep paralysis and astral travelling

I hear sleep paralysis is a good launch pad for astral travelling. I get SP just about every night and have been trying to leave my body but no luck. I end up just dreaming that I'm astral travelling. When you've astral travelled before, is it easy to tell the difference between a dream and the astral world? When I try to leave my body, I'll get outta my bed and walk out the door and start looking for signs that I'm astral travelling but I don't know what signs to look out for. I usually just go look for a person and when I find one I interrogate them and sometimes the response they give me has me half convinced that they are astral characters but it always turns out that I'm just dreaming. I had a pretty bizarre experience a while ago where I was in sleep paralysis and waited until a dream started. The dream started but I was still paralysed for some reason. I was sitting up on my bed but and wanted to go jump out the window so I could go on one of my regular lucid rampages but I couldn't move at all. Over in the corner of my room there was a little girl watching TV. Even stranger, there was a foot right in front of my face. I couldn't see whos leg it was. It had a sock on. I decided to wake myself up and I woke up in my bed and thats when I noticed that where the little girl was sitting, there was no TV, instead there was a mirror. It was pretty trippy shit, I pondered the idea that I was in the astral plane, and that the mirror was some kinda interdimensional portal. Why there was a little girl staring at it or why there was a foot in my face I may never know lol.

Also if astral travelling is real and that SP really is a good launch pad for it then I wonder how hypnagogic hallucinations relate to astral travelling. I watched the film Insidious there a while ago and noticed that old lady looks a lot like how people describe "the old hag" that many people see in sleep paralysis. I never see anything in sleep paralysis for some reason, I just feel it and hear it but I've noticed that I can hallucinate arm movement and fight back against hallucinations. People that get strangled by the old hag should try strangling her back, especially if she is some kinda astral entity. The worst that happens to me is I get poked in the back or bitten, I never get strangled or raped or any of the other crazy shit some people describe but I still don't take kindly to things poking me in the back so I reach behind me and grab them. They usually feel like some kinda small, bony creatures. I usually just grab the hand and try to break bones (which never works) but sometimes I grope around until I grab what feels like a head which I can then punch or eye gouge. If these things are actually astral entities then I would really like to get outta my body and find out what they look like. They rarely bother me but getting poked in the back pisses me off so if I'd like to be able to get outta my body while its happening and deliver an astral beating to whatever it is doing the poking. If this old hag and shadow man are actually astral entities then they deserves an astral kicking too. That old hag sounds pretty freaky though, I dunno if I'd wanna pick a fight with her lol.

You could try getting someone to write a random number on a piece of paper, then without looking at it place is on top of somewhere (where you can't normally see it) then when you're APing see that number then check if it's right in real world. That how I found out I was dreaming of APing. lol
