      'Dream Sharing'

      * There is such thing as dream sharing, right? (in the same lucid dream as another, even if they aren't lucid)

What if there was a huge dream sharing session? Like, an auditorium filled with people, and they all go to sleep and go LD, and they're all sharing the dream? Is it possible?

And what is dream sharing anyway? Is it really possible? 'Cause I mean, that'd be really.. strange.. unheardof... is it possible!? MY HEAD HURTS >.<

i think it's kinda complicated, and quite difficult to do. If you were going to have an auditorium full of people all sharing the same LD, they would all have to be very proficient. And it might not work for whatever reason.
A friend and i are currently trying to 'meet' in a lucid dream...not so much share the dream, as be able to have similar aspects to our dream.
But it's not worked yet, on either side. Being as last night i remembered nothing at all!

I think Dream Sharing is a grounding proof that the human consciousness (or brain power or whatever) is capable of communication past physical means.

A person's dreams are incredibly private, I think dream sharing, for a long time, will only be possible between people with true feeling for each other, when they know each other's minds enough to combine and travel into both dreamscapes.

Untill the days come when the human race fully understands itself, an audotorium wouldn't be able to share something like that I think...

I'm convinced that dreams can be shared. I'm convinced that human connection isn't restricted to verbal or transcripted means. I'm sure that the human mind can connect on a deeper level, and that this communication can be manifested through dreams.

I must say I believe in dream sharing from an experience I had when I was only 5 (and I remember the dream).

I shared a dream with my mother. We were living in this 2 bedroom unit at the time and I had a dream that I was inside the unit by myself. Mum had gone outside (I think to take the trash out or something) and the unit caught on fire. The front door got somehow locked and I was trapped inside and couldn't get out. I could hear my mother through the front door screaming and yelling at me to open the door. I remember not being able to reach the door.

I awoke from the dream screaming and went into my Mum's room and told her about the dream. She was a little freaked out (of course) and when I was older she told me that she had the exact same dream, she was coming up the stairs and could hear me screaming etc and she was yelling at me throught the door. Freaky stuff.

I would love to know how to provoke a dream share with someone though. But I guess I better leanr to lucid dream properly before attempting any other stuff

My Sister and my Dad had the exact same dream a few years ago, right down to the smallest detail. To make sure my sister wasn't lying, i asked her about her dream, and wrote it down, then I asked my dad and he gave me the exact same details...

So I would say it is possible... ive yet to do it, but im gonna someday.

I've had a near-identical dream experience with my wife before.
What was extra-interesting is that she was doing a WILD (although she didnt know it at the time), after which she deliberately wanted to go into my dreams.

After waking up, I didn't remember the dream at first.
But she asked me just a single question of if I dreamt of something small (I forget what). I then remembered the entire dream, and we exchanged questions with each other. Our dreams were almost identical, with one small exception.

She's not repeated it again, but it was pretty unusual.

This is an interesting statement...if two people have a deep connection, on a 'telepathic' level, for want of a better word, does it work better?
My friend and i seem to have the ability to know what the other is feeling, and thinking, we often finish each others sentences, or come out with the same thing at one and the same moment.
it would be an interesting element to the experiment.

I dont think Dream sharing is possible. We all know that dreams act differently to each person then how 2 people dream of the same thing. And which mind would be the "leader" one?
I have tried multiple times. I always find friends in my Luciddreams, I tell them it is a dream...and they believe me. But the next day these friends does not know anything about that

      Precisely...

It is my personal belief that all of existance, waking and dreaming... is one big dream.
The human mind works a bit like a radio does... it picks up incoming signals, decodes them, and turns them into something that we can see, feel, touch, think, etc....
The things that we percieve to be real are only as real as we think they are...
Reality is a mental construct of the mind... color, light, sound, everything....
      This applies to dreams to...

It only makes sense that we are all having one big dream... but the reason that ourselves, others, our dreams, and our surroundings appear to be seperate from eachother is because the mind is a filter and it is only able to 'pick up on' bits and pieces.
Dreams are quite obviously, at least to me... something that is real.... tangible.

It has been the belief of MANY MANY cultures, for a long time... that dreams do not belong only to the individual, but they belong to the whole of mankind.

This doesn't mean that sharing dreams through intent alone is EASY...
It is by no means easy... but the point here is that it is attainable... .it is realistic...
and the universe will be very joyful when we remember this again and we are able to dissolve the boundries and limitations that we have set for ourselves.First the boundries between our dreams, then the boundries between the dream and reality.... and from there... anything is possible...
This is an infinite universe here folks, and in an infinite universe... anything can happen and will happen.

      So don't box yourselves in....
Yes, it is important to maintain healthy skepticism... but I thought we were DREAMERS

Anyone that is skeptical of psychic phenomena or the paranormal in general...
I suggest that you read the books 'Holotropic Mind' by Stanislav Grof and then 'Holographic Universe' by Michael Talbot..... and the list goes on.... so get those under your belt and tell me what you think about the universe then.

By the way, I'm not coming down on the skeptics... I'm offering you the chance to open up a little bit and broaden your horizons.

      love and unity,
      Aaron[/b]

But where does the difference lie between KNOWING and REMEMBERING...
If you don't remember something.. it's as if it never happened.
So, just because these friends of yours do not remember the dream does not mean they were not there.
If they lack awareness and intent in dreams then one would not expect that they would remember as well.

I've had many shared dreams over the years... with a few friends... and with my mom.
So this is nothing that is hard for me to believe.

To an extent.... there comes times when the two ideals oppose and we will all realize that.
To dream is to actualize what we know in our souls through and through and to blend that awareness with our first attention... our ego essentially.
Skepticism is good until it prevents you from expanding your thoughts and ideas about what is possible...

      What is possible? Everything
There is nothing that is not possible... so much so, that even nothingness IS possible.

Sorry if I am confusing anyone... I am just trying my best to convey my understanding of a infinite universe with infinite potential.

      Sharing

I didn't used to believe in "dream sharing" until last year. I had an LD about someone I actually know in real life. In the dream, I realized it was a dream, took advantage of the situation and briefly had intimate relations with this person. I thought it was all just in my head, so what's the harm, right? But the next day, they made a comment to me with a bit of innuendo, asking how "good" it was. I was floored and could only stand there with my mouth open as they laughed and walked away. Surely, they couldn't have known I'd had a dream like that about them. I told no one. Maybe it was coincidence. But I certainly take my LD's a lot more seriously now!
