Thread: OOBE Control???

The other day me and a friend were talking while watching Waking Life. Man it blew her mind away. So we were discussing the movie I didn't want to tell her I LD 'cause I thought she would think I'm crazy... just like everyone else I tell. So to my surprise she believed me, then she told me she can control her OOBE. I didn't believe her at first but then I realized I just told her I LD and she believed me, I have no reason to think she is lying. So then she told me she would one day visit me, I said sure, still not completely believing her. This was a while back, but about 3 nights ago I was asleep in my cousin's couch, then my cousin woke me up... I fell back asleep and she woke me up again to tell me she was taking off. Then I woke up, and my friend was there, I could see her clearly, then I went back to sleep again one last time... when I finally woke up she wasn't there. I asked my cousin and my friends brother and both guaranteed me she wasn't at the house. So can you control OOBE??? To tell you the truth I'm still a bit skeptical (how hypocritical of me ) and I'm thinking when I saw her it was a false awakening. Does anybody else have this ability???

I dont know..lol. I am not expertized in OBEing at all..I astral project, but you project in your astral body into the astral and not the pshysical. (Not the pshysical plane). Im still not sure if OBEs actually project you into the pshysical..X_X

Based on my readings, oobe and astral projection is the same thing.
I haven't heard too many cases of people astral projecting (or oobe'ing) and having their spirit travel and be visible to another person.

There was one case where Robert Monroe (author) traveled and was sitting on top of a house and a lady was outside and she looked up at the roof and then suddenly ran into the house in fear. He wasn't sure why she ran but then thought "could she have seen me?".

So, who knows, but for now I don't know too many cases of actually seeing a spirit out of the body. Although, one can feel a sense that something is there.

Maybe you saw her in a lucid dream?

According to my huge ultra-big 127 page treatise on AP, you cannot see people projecting, unless they are projecting themselves. And when you do, they are usually "standing there confused, caught in a state of creating and projecting- this is what happens when you lose concentration".

I don't have the ability to OBE at all. I be believe that you can control it. It makes sence to me in my mind, but I don't have any hard evidence to back up my answer.

Actually i have heard that OBE's can be more dangerous, supposedly its "tearing" soul from flesh, which meant only to happen at death. In my religion, its understood that a body without a soul is presumed dead, empty, etc. So i was wondering, what if someone OOBEd into your body accidentally, purposely.....???

as said above i am of the Christian faith and for some odd reason i find lucidity odd, fun, but odd. Its so much fun i begin to wonder if if may be sacrelige of the Christian religion, seeing as how OBEs and Astral Projections would fall under the catagory of "soul jumping"


soul jumping is a term i came up with once while attempting to describe lucidity, OBEs and astrals to someone. basically i find that dreams in general are times when our soul is not held down by our mind any more because our mind has gone into some sort of sleep itself during an REM. dreams are the coolest and most mysterious thing i know of. The ideal of OBE/Astral and lucidity almost seem wrong and impossible until you finally do it, then it can become scary or difficult as it seems that once you have reached lucidity, you can also become hyperaware. this is where my question comes in, has anyone else become hyperaware BEFORE lucidity and then lost lucidity and just kinda felt like they were in a chaotic reality?

Intresting point.
However, it cannot happen.

According to current Astral Theory, anybody who is near you that might cause damage to you/has hostile intentions while you are Astral Projecting or OOBE'ing, your body will recall your soul, no matter how far away it is, in less than a nanosecond.

Presuming that somebody did make it into your body, I expect something weird would happen, such as Chakras rejecting the soul out again or something scary happening, like the body falling into a coma.

what does having Christian faith have to do with your thinking lucidity is fun? why is that odd? the word lucidity just basically means awareness anyway. uh..I think you need to re-phrase that statment.

Don't worry it ain't bashing. I used to be a Christian myself, but now I believe that God is just energy we all feel. Some interpret it as God others Budda, Allah, ect. It all depends on your background, and what you are taught as a kid. Like I said this is what i believe, I don't intend on preaching my beliefs. Although.... Here is a brain teaser for you, if what the Bible says is true and as long as you think of something it is a sin (ex. having fantasies about Pamela Anderson, killing somebody, ect.)
Wouldn't lucid dreaming also be a sin? Not only are you thinking it, you are sort of acting it out. It only applies of course to dreams where you kill and stuff. I actually had a dream where I was lucid and a witch told me I was going to Hell now that I was lucid.

As for the avatar, don't sweat it, I ain't Satanic or nothing like that... I have it 'cause not long ago I dreamed that Satan showed me the end of the world, hence my avatar and sig.

One more thing, what is the difference between a prophet and a prophetian??? From what I know prophetian means connected to Heaven, isn't that pretty much a prophet???

this is just an idea that i had so i hope it doesnt offend anyone, but about sinning and how thinking can be a sin..i think a huge sin is that god proclaims that its the 'one' all ruler and power......i mean who's its god and so forth.....the fact that i can sin and im a part of god and creation directly goes up the chain to it.....duno really ive lost myself again trying to explain my unexplainablke thoughts

I just don't think that one could actually see someone who is OB with the physical eyes. As far as controlling it? yes I believe that it's possible but only to a certain degree. I know from my OBE's my time spent wasn't no longer than a couple of minutes before I was returned back to my physical.

i had the most amazing experience 2 nights ago......some of u prob klnow ive been trying hard developing my astral skills..or obe

well 2 nights ago i did...and i began by relaxing and meditating.using various techniques....well i was interrupted from my computer making a weird crack noise which is from being hot when on to becoming cold after being turned off....and this noise startled me.even hurting my chest a fair bit....so i looked at my clock and about 55 minutes had passed..i was shocked......

so i went bak to trying to obe and i sort of tuned out for a lil while and wen i came bak in i was in a void of some sort..i think i was in a trance at this stage and i began to get strange movements inside my body....almost like i was moving around but staying still..my hands and feet i could barely feel...my body was electric....a cold tingle but starangely electric...with feelings of complete weighttlessness and then being heavy,,.,it as amazing..physically at times i felt great....

a couple of time i think iwas close to leaving my body as the sensations hightened to great heights...take to long to explain but anyway one of these was agian the bang and flashing of white light......i dont know wat it is but i soon came out 5 minutes after it.........even though i havnt described everything does anyone have any advice...or think im missing somehting

I know it is hard, you have to ignore the sensations completely, and keep your mind as blank as you can if you want to project. Good luck!
