Smile Stopping time with no interruptions possible?

After some lucid dreaming research the idea of stopping time past me by. I thought that it would be interesting so I decided to do a little more research on the topic. Eventually I came across a mixed bag of results. Some well known lucid dreamers claim that stopping time is possible. As in the case of Robert Monroe who claims he lived in a lucid dream for a 100 years. On the the other hand there are individual who disagree and believe it is impossible.
Some of these individuals claim that dream time is equivalent to real life time. Witch in my opinion seems to be the normal case. This is because rarely do people have normal dreams where there there no longer then 20 minutes or something like that.
In my opinion I am not going to say that it is impossible, that you cant stop time, but I cant say that you can either. Because I have never personally tested it out. Eventually I would like to have a volunteer (witch I made a thread previously about) whom I trust and know to do this for me, if I cant. But know I would like to share my research with you guys/girls and as well your opinions on the subject.
Anyways, I would like to begin with how to stop time (if the theory is possible). One technique would be after researching, would be to use the simply open and close your eyes technique. This includes just closing your eyes, then while there closed, think and say out loud and say something like ," When i open my eyes time will be stopped for 3 days". Then open your eyes, if the theory works you should be there for 3 days.
Of course your going to run across a few problems even if this works. One would be if you can be aware all the way through the duration of the time your stopped. A technique that I found useful would be to use the open and close your eyes technique as well. Just close your eyes and say out loud, "when my eyes are open I will be fully aware". then open your eyes. Hopefully you should be really aware in the dream. Other techniques include rubbing your hands or spinning. But these method seems to be a alot less effective when researching.
One theory of mine is that maybe the reason why you cant stop time int he dream sate is because your subconscious doesn't allow you. If this is true then you may find use in creating a dream guide. The best technique that I found for this is closing my eyes and saying out loud, "when i open my eyes there will be a dream guide who will do everything I want in my dream for me without me saying". Hopefully if i works there should be a dream guide and that dream guide should stop time for you and make it impossible for your subconscious mind to hinder you from stopping time.
Well anyway, I would like to here some of your opinions on this as well as comments.
Sorry for any spelling or grammar mistakes (I was in a bit of a hurry when writing this).

Although this was a tad hard to read, I'm up for this. Where should I begin researching into it?

Know ive been researching this as well but apparently it isn't something you should do without certain precautions. Like having a dream companion, dream guide, and a real time-dream time watch. because you can easily lose track of time in a elapsed dream time portal.

How is that something to be worried about? It won't do any damage, as you'll simply wake up when you want to. Plus, no real amount of time will have passed.

Well its only wise to take precautions, in a realm of 'stopped time' if such is possible. Robert Monroe and others claim that time is not linear, that other dimensions from past present future live as one. Imagine if one was to wake up '400' years later, back in there young body. Think of the consequences. I heard an account from someone here on dreamviews who claimed to have spent numerous years in a realm that he summoned, only to forget his name when he awoke. Like inception- the dream becomes the reality, reality becomes the dream. If you went too deep into it, and forgot the real reality, no doubt you would get sectioned
Then again im just theorizing, if i could try this i would, but id limit it to small amounts of time at first, obviously.

This is a fair point, but I don't see why one would want to spend that much time in a dream, anyway. It would lose it's awesomeness (for lack of a better word) rather quickly.

The techniques you suggest are probably going to fail. For some people spinning is powerful technique, for other it is not. Same goes for closing eyes and commanding stuff around. I have demanded to see a dream guide about 3-4 times, but nothing happened so far. In general there can be no real research and trustworthy research on this subject . I mean you can literally not measure something like this...
Let's say someone sleeps for 30 minutes, and wakes up only to tell you a story about his dream lasting 3 weeks. You can never be absolutely sure. Because if time indeed stopped inside his head, then we are talking about a different world (I am not even sure if I can perceive this). You can't measure something from another "world" or existence plane or other highest-perception-state... That's why shared dreaming, OBEs, etc. are not sientifically prooven. And they do not have to be. Just see for yourself. If you believe it, it's true. If you really 100% believed you can stop time inside your dream, then maybe your subconsious could find a way to do it for you, or maybe it wouldn't even be your subconsious (meaning your physical brain). It's just how far you want to go really... We are really theoretical here. :p
Live as if you 'll die today, dream as if you 'll never wake up...

      Goals:
      Meet my Dream Guide
      Go to the Moon
      Experience Shared Dreaming
