      Just starting out astral projection

So, last night I finally tried astral projection after wanting to try for about a month now and I have a couple questions

So, it seems as if, when I was trying to fall into a deeper state so I could astral, my body would keep me from doing so by twitching. I want to know, how do you get this to subside, If you can, or is there anyway to use this to your advantage?

As well, I noticed, as I was trying to get astral, I noticed my body had a very noticeable twitching sensation around my arms and legs. Is this normal?
And one more, as I was trying to get astral, I noticed at one point, the feeling of myself floating out of my body, the room around me was able to be seen, but at the same time it wasn't. This feeling only lasted for a second until I was once again back in my body. Was this myself going astral or something different?

Thanks in advanced for the answers!

No experience with astral travelling, though some would argue its just a WILD/OBE, what your asking are the same questions someone learning to WILD (wake induced lucid dream) would ask, if so, twitching and movements are completely normal you just have to learn to ignore them, the body will then switch off (sleep paralysis) and then you can enter dream/phase/astral whatever.

P.s your avatar tripped me out for a good minute or so and i dont know why. that is all.

If you mean same twitching what I experience (sharp jerking) - I understand that this is when your astral body was on its way out and it got snapped back into your body fairly quickly for some reason. I noticed this happening to me lot more often since I started to WILD/OOB. It happens most often in extremities, because those are first ones to 'get out'. When you interupt the proces by regaining too much awareness, they return to your body. Once it was so strong, it felt like what you see on TV, when they shock somebody to get his heart started. My arms and legs flew up in the air.

When you felt you were floating out of your body - well, your astral body was actually floating out. When this happened to me, I told to myself "up". But don't really concentrate on how to get up, it's more of a feeling, gentle thought, thinking that you are already out.

At the time of the floaty feeling, your astral view kicks in, although I'm not sure exactly when. That's when you see your room through closed eyelids. Or you can also see the ceiling like from 10 inches away. Than you are fully projected and tell yourself 'to the kitchen' or any other place, that's far enough from your sleeping body, so it doesn't pull you back. I practiced this while awake - just looking at bed when I would be sleeping and looking at the place where I wanted to move to and saying 'to the...'. So when I projected, I ended up in that exact spot, which was upper left corner of my window.

      Good luck!

Hm, so you induce a wild through a similar process? I'll have to remember that

Haha, well, I was trying to gain some reaction through using the icon I did

Ah, I see. So after a couple tries will this twitching subside and happen less often? Haha, I didn't have nearly as much of a jolt, though it was enough to make my body gain awareness. Kind of annoying.

Ok. Yeah, last night right when I noticed this feeling, my brain immediately went and started over thinking things "what's happening?" "how do I control this?" and the like

Well, when is, I'm assuming, probably different for everyone. I know myself, I noticed right when I was only a few inches out, though, it was very interesting, the few seconds I did get to "see" the astral plane.
Hm, I may just try that. Thank you for the pointers!

When you astral travel, you see white light coming at you. Take up meditation, you need to calm your mind and be in a very relaxed state. Note that this can be very scary. Work on meditating on the third eye chakra and only do it for 15 - 30. I never got passed the white light part. So I don't know what's beyond. Good luck. if you have any questions just pm me.
