      please help??? ap or lucid???

so this has happened to me a few times now. i partially wake up, as in my body is still paralyzed but my mind is awake, and then suddenly i will be floating above my bed. the first time was in the middle of the night and i'd wake up and have this really strange feeling and all of a sudden be levatating like 3 feet above my bed. then i would be in bed again and id get the sensation and it would happen again and this happened several times. on that occasion i remember thinking it was real the whole time, not a dream or my astral body but that my actual body was floating. the second time i was napping and woke up and started to float and i was actually trying to float higher. whenever i came out of it i would try to do it again and i read awhile ago that to astral project you're supposed to try rocking out of your body so thats what i would do, i would rock to the side and start floating and when i tried too hard i would come out of it. then today i was floating again for not long, then i was back in my body and this time when i went up and seperated from my body i felt a painful sensation in my back i think. but it definitely hurt. and then i was floating and this time i remembered not to try to float higher so i just let go and focused on the sensations and i stayed there for longer than normal. but my eyes were closed and as soon as i started trying to open my eyes i was back in my body again and then i couldn't do it anymore.

so what do you think? i've had lucid dreams before and this is a much different sensation than my lucid dreams. and any advice on what to do or how to get better at it? and lastly, and ideas why this happens instead of me just entering a dream, like normal? so confused...

I have had same what you describing - floating above your body in bed. I would say you had and OBE/AP. (I'm not sure about the difference betw. OBE and AP.)

Next time try to move away from bed by saying 'to the door, or window, or anywhere away from bed'. Sometimes it takes a while to gain your astral vision, but you can try saying 'clarity now' or 'I can see". Once I brought my hands to my eyes and concentrated on seeing them in pitch dark and the surroundings started to get brighter.

You can read a ton of stuff about this on these websites :

      Happy dreams and travels
