Thread: outside voice in dream

Something strange happened in my dream last night and I was wondering if anyone would have any thoughts about what it could be... I'll type it out exactly as I wrote it down.

"I don't remember what all was happening before, but I remember laying beside John, and we start to cuddle a little. For some reason I have chocolate, and I'm feeding it to him. Then seemingly from nowhere I hear Zack's voice say my name sounding like it was from outside the dream--- like kind of like he was in my room for real--- and I immediately wake up."

In real life, John is an ex and somebody that I still have feelings for. Zack is a guy who's always liked me, but I've never returned the same feelings. Zack has always hated John for different reasons.

I was just wondering that maybe by if any chance Zack was able to communicate with me while I was dreaming and interrupt the dream. Then again it could just be my own mind, but I don't know why it seemed to be outside of me actual dream. Anybody have any thoughts??
