      Entering other peoples dreams?

I had thus thought right now before drinking some apple juice. I thought what if when going to bed you would be able to enter other peoples dreams. Like you can just watch them or talk to them. I also thought what if when we go to sleep we all go into a world which everyone who is sleeping at the moment could meet each other, hangout, and just spawn items. Like a hub or something. Imagine that. Awesome. What would you do? Also what is a DC people talk about them and In like what?

      Hi Mextil!
What you're talking about is shared dreaming. It hasn't been scientifically proven yet but many people believe it's possible and there are quite a few stories to read about it!
There's a subforum for this and other dream related things that haven't been scientifically proven yet called Beyond Dreaming. There's also the International Oneironaut Shared Dreaming Project which might interest you as well (oneironaut means dream explorer)
DC is a abbreviation for Dream Character. It mean any person, animal, spirit, or other kind of entity that you meet in a lucid or non-lucid dream.
I hope you enjoy the forums!

I'm not sure if I believe in shared lucid dreaming or not. Actually, it's safe to say that no, I don't think it's at all possible. I believe that a dream is made by your subconscious alone.

However, throughout history people have been continuously proven wrong and, really, who am I or anyone else to say that something is impractical, impossible, or what have you? No, it could be very real. I'd like to experiment with it one day and then maybe I'll join our amigos in the Beyond Dreaming threads.

Yeah I know this was just a what if saturation. Though it would be totally cool if it were possible.

      No problem Mextil! Have fun
Yeah GNGB, I'm a bit of a skeptic myself but there's no harm in believing or trying it and if it's discovered it's possible that'd just make lucid dreaming twice as cool

I am able to make people freely talk to me in their sleep.

For instance. I had suspicion of a girl I was dating was cheated on me. I spoke with her and walked her through a scenario and led her to finish the suggestion. And I discovered who she had cheated on me with.
End result I went and broke my friends ribs. The positive is my friend and I are still friends. And the girl friend and I are no longer together but remain good friends.

Another time I decided to play a game on a different friend. I began talking with him and I videotaped our interactin. I made him sing roe roe roe your boat. I also had talk about some funny secrets. I also convinced him a dog was about to bite his nose. Which made him jup and ultimately wake up. He was looking around and said WHAT ARE YOU DOING DUDE?

I told him what had just happened and I showed him the video and he couldn't stop laughing. Hahahaha

Entering ones dreams are very easy if you catch them at the right time.

Wow! thats actually quite interesting. My brother used to talk in his sleep and i would talk to him. One time i also convinced him he was in a room and suggested some things that he then took for real.

But unfortunately, most of the time i can't understand a word they say in their sleep..

I've had a possible case of this once. Me and another person had a very, very similar dream as recorded in my 3rd lucid dream, found in this link. Lucid Dream #3 - Dream Journals - Lucid Dreaming - Dream Views

I had a shared dream experience as a child. It was the exact same dream as another was dreaming at the exact same time. I understand being rather skeptical until you experience it yourself. I also believe a less intense version of shared dreaming is possible as in...you're having conversations with the other person in your dreams, and they're actually there, in their own dream, having a conversation with you. Something rather inconsequential would be harder to remember unless you've been practicing dream recall. It's not exactly commonplace to talk about the dreams we have to people that were in them, unless perhaps it was something abnormal.

I wonder how often we have shared dreams and don't know about it.
