Dreams showing me the future

Hi everybody

From time to time when I wake up from sleep, I’ve remembered brief visions of the future, regarding finance, romance, education, health.

There's many examples:
e.g. the first was September last year, I saw a 'stock/shares price' graph, showing me an airline company (easyjet) will be worth 25% more by December, this was correct and I used all my money at the time to buy shares. After this, in regards to health, a 1 second dream showing me an unknown word at the time, a herbal supplement called vinpocetine, in big letters on my laptop screen. It helps to increase energy/oxygen levels, which treated a small bout of depression at the time.

Various other visions have been seeing particular people and events, and an accompaning voice telling me about them, e.g. one man I saw in my dream with a short beard and big jaw, and a voice saying he has slept with many people. That day I decided to go out for the first time to a gay club, and infact saw this same man, recognised him, and thus didn't want to go home with him as my dream told me about him.

I asked last week before going to sleep, why I have these 'abilities', and the dream that night was quite short but weird and vivid. In the dream, I was in somebodys house, standing up holding a fork in my right hand. I was looking down at a cute black and white cat with a collar who was jumping about gleefully and landed on the fork in my hand. It caught its collar on the fork and I saw that the collar had broken off and it's neck was exposed and sore, and the cat was depressed. I said 'it'll be fine' and looked away, when a voice told me to look again. I looked again at the cat, its neck was bleeding and it looked up at me, its neck split open bleeding and it died. While this was happening I was crying and screaming in the dream, wholeheartedly apologising to the cat for killing it, and i said 'it's not my cat', I was really sad that I killed somebody elses cat.

Then a bright, cloudy, purple/lilac misty very comfortable mental picture came to me and said "Sacrifice the animal, and you'll have psychic powers."

Can anybody help with this dream or anything?

How does this work? What does sacrifice the animal mean? I feel like I'm changing and growing each day since having these dreams, they're telling me a lot of wisdom and advice, I can write them down if anybody wants me to

Sounds like you are having some precognitive dreams. That's really cool, I just started getting into those. You should definitely write them down in ur dream journal on the forums, lots of people enjoy reading user dream journals here.

I'm no dream interpreter, but my wild guess would be that the cat is somebody's innocent joy and the voice wants u to shatter somebody's joy to gain power one day >___> sounds terrible though and the dream shows you wont be happy if you do. I may sound too optimistic, but I don't think there's any power worth killing a kitten for

As a precog dreamer, when u develop your skills, you can actually choose the future you want instead of having the voice choose for you. Its called Active Lucid Precog Dreaming (ALPD):

Now, a lot of people don't believe in precog dreaming, and even less in ALPD, but these sorts of things can only truly be known by experience. Anyway, I would like to hear more. How did u get started with precog dreaming and do you do anything now to help get more?

I'm looking at the ALPD page now and will practice soon. I haven't purposefully lucid dreamed before so might need some time

In regards to having the precog dreams and feelings of growth, it's been happening for 9 months now. It all seemed to start with two things, first when I had a cool dream involving a bright silvery human shaped glowing being, we talked for a bit about things I don't remember, and the being sort of 'zapped' into where my heart is. I woke up after that. The second thing was a 'voice' or communication telling me not to do certain things. When I was a teenager I sometimes took things from shops, this started happening again last summer and I was feeling very sick and ill for a bit, I thought food poisoning. The pain was too great and I was crying. For the first time ever, I asked both God or my dad (who passed away when I was 7) to help me, then the 'voice' told me 'no stealing', accompanied by a calm pure white mental picture that immediately took the pain away and allowed me to sleep soon after. I haven't been ill with anything much at all since. I'm 21 btw. Where are you from man?

I'm born and raised American. The flag there tho is of Haiti, my parents birthplace.

Ur story is interesting. Strange the voice seems to like justice and purity but asked you to kill. Is there something you feel, intuitively, that the dream is trying to tell you? Is there something/someone the cat reminds you of? Sometimes our gut feeling already knows the answer to our questions. Also, just curious, what inspired you to start looking for answers now rather than 9 months ago?

Another idea is that the animal wasn't the cat, but the darkside of yourself. Sacrifice that dark side, the animal, commit to a purer path. A clear conscience means the mind isn't distracted by guilt or shame. This allows greater focus and power to develop and ur abilities.

This is just a best guess

I really don't think killing the kitten is a good idea and I'm not saying it like I worship all the poor innocent kitties in the world. I'm a firm believer of the survival of the fittest.

My advice is based on the theory that dreams are not just dreams...

The way you described that particular situation in your dream...it makes me think you were being tested or baited into crossing a line. Does it seem like you have some sort of control in your dreams usually? Did you have any this time? Was it so far off and odd? Like you were being disrupted?

I believe in a lot of things but not blindly. (Either supported by experience from myself, others, or my family. Research of religious beliefs (all) or odd events)

I do believe that sometimes when we dream it's like we are in the in between (a space between living and dead. An area that can be manipulated like a plaine of its own...collective unconscious...refer to concept of shared dreams) Our body's and minds are relaxed and open. (Sometimes vulnerable)

I believe in spirits (good and bad/known and unknown) and its seemed as if this was someone who wanted to know just how far you'd go or if you'd cross a line in order to obtain a gift of precognition or glimpses into your future.

If it was a spirit that stumbled or invaded your dream it was trying to make a deal with you.
