I have had dejavu dreams in the past. Where in the dream I see simple things in the future and they happen. Usually nothing I can strange and it always strikes me as odd. |

I don't think it's gloomy, I think you have a great gift ! Maybe you can make it more positive by understanding where it comes from and how to use it. Did you ever had a birth chart drawn ? It could give you some clues. |

I knew I wasn't alone! I used to see little things that were going to happen when I was a child!! Like me and my brother were playing N64 (Remember that?) and playing Legend of zelda and he did EXACTLY what I had dreamed of when he was playing, the exact same thing! And also I'd dreamed once that my mom had to go to work early and spilled her coffee on her floor one morning, and it happened 10 minutes after I woke up! I wish I could have those again though. I got a question though, have you ever been able to control it? |

Sounds like empathy for the emotions part and like precognition for the first part |

I used to have lots of dreams about things that would happen not so long after. The big one has always been fire. From when I was little up until I reached 15 I would dream that our house caught fire and my mum or sister always died. When I was 15 our house caught fire and our fire alarm wasn't working but I woke up. They said if I hadn't my sister would've died within 10 minutes due to smoke inhalation. Other dreams, all smaller things - boyfriends cheating, text messages that I would read in my dream that would then be on my phone the next day, small injuries and such. It's not what I would call gloomy - more a part of your brain that you don't always use being triggered - after all we only use a small percentage of our brain. It definately sounds likesomething you should pay attention to. |

Ever heard of the band Franz Ferdinand? Some dude who got assassinated and kicked off WW2. His death was predicted in a dream. |

Hem, you mean the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria in Sarajevo in 1914, that triggered WWI. The second world war started 35 years later, after german invasion of Poland, which is quite far from Bosnia. But most interesting precog dream from this Bishop Joseph Lanyi about his ex-pupil, and well documented indeed ! Incredible he didn't try to alert the authorities thought, there was definitly time for a phone call or a telegram, but would the security have given a credit to a dream, even from a bishop ? Probably not. And threats on chiefs of state and royal families where then even more common than now. We'll never know... |

My most memorable one is i saw my friends playing in a pool. They were dunking, and my friend (ill call her R) pushed a floaty in her sis. She said, " she'd be lucky if she could breath". Two years later, everything was the same. The same shape of clouds in the sky, the same garden, and even what she said and how she said it. I have counted 15 throughout my life. |

I've always had little things happen that make me wonder if I can tell the future through my dreams, but nothing like what you guys have had happened. |
|
I think it all comes down to practise. When I was having dreams like those I was waking up two or three times a night on my own accord to write down dreams. If you're only getting little bits I think, if you practise dream recall and such it should improve. |

I often call this dejà vù, but i have foind this is very different. Dejà vù is caused when the left side of your brain works in a diff time as your right. They see things at diff times, causing the feeling that this had happened before. Our dreams happen years in advance (my example above was 3 years before). Makes me wonder the origin... |

I've been having these too and I just had a deja vu today actually. I was sitting at this place at the library and I've never sat there before, which is odd. Are your dreams usually places you've already visited? Or are they palces you've never seen before? |

Yes I have had many dreams about the future. I had posted this story in another thread, but I think it fits here: |

Thanks for everyones replies. I didnt check back until now and didnt know so many would respond. I guess Ill clarify some questions. I dont have control over the dreams. In the past 5 years Ive been really out of touch with myself and I dont recall my dreams as much as when I was a teenager. Though still get the dreams. |
