The answer to all my questions about Life after Death...

      Hello all!
Been a while since I last spoke...and never had the chance to tell you about my LD's and OOBE's....but here it goes....
Let me start by telling you that I was born in Greece....(it has to do with the story... )
I was 17 years old when this happened(I dont know how to call it but it sure wasn't only lucid dreaming...much more than this...)
I was in the States for a University degree...it was end of December and I took the plane to go Christmas and New years Eve with my family, back in Greece....After these vacations and a few days before my trip back to the States, my grandfather died...I was the one that took him to the hospital where he passed away...
The days went by...after the funeral (in Greece) and my trip back to the US...
Then at one random night, at the UNI, I fall asleep....
I woke up in my dream...I realized that I was dreaming...
Everything was so real...I was in the beach....the sea to my right was calm....on my left hand side the sand "stopped" and a green valley started...as far the eye can see...
In front of me at a distance of about 1/2 mile I could see several block of flats....They were built in the sand...On the background I could see mountains...The sun was setting in the sea...Beatifull colours...orage, purple, red, yellow....I would never forget that view...
Seconds after I felt the urge to go to this area with the block of flats...
So I started running...one step, two, three...I jumped so high...I said to myself again...you r dreaming...go higher...after a lot of these jumps, I landed in the middle of this area...
I looked up and jumped to one balcony...to the other floor's balcony...higher and higher...after several jumps, I landed on one balcony where I saw the balcony's door opened...so I entered...I was in a kitchen...a big rectangle table was in the kitchen, with food on it...I decided to sit at the closest "head" of the table (one of the two "heads" that are opposite to each other...)
Suddenly the door opened...These beings came in...dressed in white (white loose clothes and big loose hats...)...they were 8 in number...the came in a line and sat at the adjacent seats of the table...first one on my right...next one on my left ... etc ...
They all spoke in a language that I could not understand...something like oommmmuuumaooommmm...u probably know what I mean....
Then I saw my grandfather entering the room...He was dressed in gray...He smilled and waved hello...he did NOT speak to me...just a smile...
We then all started eating...The fealing of realizing that you are in a dream and you are experiencing something like this is far beyond anything I have ever senced...
The only thing going on (while eating) was the "talking" of these whote beings...
Then suddenly we all stopped eating...
The white people stood up AT EXACTLY THE SAME WAY THAT THEY SAT, BUT NOW ON OPPOOSITE....First to sit, stood up and left first, second one second and so on....
Last one was my grandfather...he stood up...smilled again and waved goodbye...
I felt overwelmed while I was staying in the table...warm and relaxed...wasn't afraid of anything...but something was drawing me back....
Like a flash, I did THE EXACT SAME MOVES TO ENTER THE ROOM BUT NOW ON BACKWARDS...LIKE SOMEONE HAD PRESSED REWIND!Down the balconies and backward jumps to the point that I entered the Dream and OUT!

"Ok...So you might say...Nothing much...Just a visit from your grandfather...No...It was much more than that...Before going on, let me give you a detail about the customs that we have for the dead here in Greece...In exactly 40 days after the death of someone we make a table to his/her memory...a reunion to his/her honour....By the way that was the first death that I ever experienced and wasn't aware of this custom..."

I woke up....I immediately phoned my grandmother and told her about the dream..
She said "Yes...it is the 40th day, after your grandfather's death and we are placing the table in order to eat!!!!"....
"The phone fell of my hands...I had no words to say...."

I never knew that was the 40th day after my granddad's death...Truly...
But even more...I did not know about this custom...I never experienced it before....

Can you tell me HOW This thing happened...for me it wasn't a matter of coincidence...
Did anyone had something like this before?

Oh...something else...that was the point where I had an eruption of lucid dreams in my life...

Cool LD, but I don't put much stock in precognitive dreams. I've always attributed it to the mind gathering evidence subconsciously and manifesting the evidence in dream form. Perhaps when you were too young to remember you were told about the 40 day custom, or maybe you weren't even listening to the person talking about the 40 day custom, you just picked it up as background noise and your mind later went back over it.
The brain is a powerful thing, and it's capable of doing much that we don't know of yet. Perhaps the dream really was precognitive, possibly it was really just a compilation of evidence, maybe it was something else entirely.

dreams are a composite of excess thoughts. It is possible that you have heard this once, and your brain wanted to bring it up? I dont know much about this. i hope other people reply to this because that is really amazing.

Actually, according to recent research, it seems that dreams are made from the motivational area of your brain, which means that your wants/reward/punishment/desire area of your brain is responsible for producing your dream.

Makes sense why we dream about what is on our minds then, doesn't it
Our dreams might not be as random as we believed thus far.

      Yes...anything is possible...even your scenario...
But...Isn't this theory extreme? - I mean (by what you are implying), wouldn't all these thoughts (in the dream) be an action of worship towards fate?
I believe that our minds, in some circumstances, play Games with us (by gathering information subconsciously and manipulating it to whatever the outcome..) - but not always...

I totally agree with you...However, there is another valuable element in the \"equation\"...The psyche - or spirit that assigns what the brain should think or what to do...That, my friend, is a whole other story that we all think we know...

Believe me I am a sceptic person and I tend not to jump into conclusions easily...The fact that:
      1. It was the first dream that I acquired conciousness, by waking up into the dream and "getting out of the doll"...
      2. It was the 40th day after the death - which I did not know...
can answer many of my questions....
Perhaps something came in my mind and triggered the dream above....

Well a few years ago I had this girlfriend who told me about a dream just like yours, the really gourges beach(she discribed amazingly the views), not the balconies though, and it was when she had lost a brother, and in this dream his brother was swimming on the beach and she had this horrible feeling, to put it in her words "something Iīve never felt before, so hard and crush", he saw her and smiled too, and thats it, she says she felt pushed out of the dream . I find your dream is alot like hers, so it could be some strange plane where you get to see others that passed away. I donīt really know, could be amazing the thought of it. Iīve never experienced anything like it so I canīt say anything useful as much as foolish . If you gain lucidity agin though, I will recomend you try to do the backwards thing, Iīm going to try that tonight . Hope helps.

I am sharing the same belief like you ernesto...
It could be a certain plane in between the two worlds where spirits run...
Christianity shares this belief...they say that for 40 days the spirit of a person circulates in that plane, before going somewhere else....

If only I could draw the place then it would be much more helpfull...thoughts and pictures can be transmitted between people but the way that our brain translates them, is something else...

      Dear White Light,

I too had a dream involving my Grandfather who died when I was only a child. Then, when I was in college, perhaps my first spiritual dream, this stately older Lady, something of an Oracle, approached this old car, a familiar looking car, that was up on blocks (it had been my families old car from when I was a child) and she took an Iron and a Blanket out of the trunk. She approached me and handed them to me saying, "A man named Volont, 14 years ago, told me to give these to you". For a year I thought about this dream, and then it finally occurred to me (I was apparently much stupider back then some 40 years ago) that my Grandfather had died that long before, and that my family did not buy that car, but it was bequeathed to my father -- it had been my Grandfather's car. The Iron and the Blanket had been some kind of Legacy from my Grandfather.

      ....

      Hello Leo!

Sounds like a dream with symbolism...
The Iron and the Blanket maybe are some thinks that were metaphorically presented to you but have some other meaning...
