Sounds really odd. Have any pets?

maybe you scratched your self and don't know it. Because one time (this will be the super short version) I had a really vivid dream that I was stuck under a boat and I woke up and I was under my bed...

Sounds like a lack of seratonin. I think thats the horomone that helps with sleep paralysis. Not too sure though.

      Yeah

I agree, probably a lack of whatever it is that makes you not move your real body in your sleep. I think i don't have quite enough of that. I thump my walls frequently and throw my arms or legs into the wall when running hard or kicking or whatever in dreams. If you have a serious lack of it, you'll sleepwalk. Too much and you have sleep paralysis. I wish i knew what IT was called. I'm sure one of our scientifically inclined friends know.

I heard drinking milk and eating chocolate releases seratonin in your brain... is that true? If thats the case I'm gonna eat lotsa chocolate and drink lotsa milk in the hour that i'm surfing this forum in the early morning, before performing a WILD ^^

Here is a similar story to the story that theunknowndreamer told (about him being stuck under a boat). You may have read this before in some books about lucid dreaming, I took it from Susan Blackmore's "Lucid Dreaming: Awake in your Sleep?":

In the last century, Alfred Maury had a long and complicated dream that led to his being beheaded by a guillotine. He woke up terrified, and found that the headboard of his bed had fallen on his neck.

I got a similar story, once I was reading Moby Dick and I had a dream I fell in the water and it was so cold I couldnt move my numb arms and was drowning, I woke up with a start gasping for air and I had no feeling in both my arms! I wasnt sleeping on them either..

I used to have dreams of walking off cliffs, I couldnt stop myself from walking off them, at the same time Id fall out of bed, and wake up anyone else have the falling out of bed dream?

I once had a dream where I needed to go to the bathroom but couldn't find a toilet so I started pissing on a wall. When I woke up I had pissed all over myself.

      Freaky huh?

      Edit: I am obviously joking
      If I hadn't made me
I'd be more inclined to bow
Powers that be would have swallowed me up
But that's more than I can allow...

Well, if you feel that's freaky, try imagining how you would feel, if *something* scratched you in your dreams...

I was running a fever one night, and woke to see a blade on a pendulum swinging above my head. I stared and it wouldn't go away. I kept looking at it. Finally I switched to the opposite end of the bed. The next night, I saw a woman on a rocking chair above my bed. That was weird. I attributed it to the fever.

My most bizzare dream: One morning, after my first wife had left for work, I had a dream that a cop was at my door, standing in the pouring rain, holding a baby. I was awakened by a phone call from a police officer telling me my wife had been in an accident, but she was ok.
