      Merlin's Mirror

I've dreamed, seven years ago, of Merlin. He told me he made me the gift of a mirror in which I will always see the truth.

He was marvelous. Beautiful old sorcerer, dressed as Gandalf (it was years before I saw The Lord of the Ring). He was of an intense blue color and shining magically, as nothing terrestrial can shines like.

He was on the other side of the street. When I had the mirror in my hand, a delicate piece of white tissue came on me from the sky.

      That's for my dream.

A couple of months ago, I googled "Merlin's mirror". I discovered that there is a book titled the same, written by Andre Norton.

I found on some reviews that it is the story of a woman to which Merlin gave a magical mirror in which she can see all truths. And I don't remember exactly, but I've also read that there was a relation with that magical mirror and a white sheet of tissue. I think it was supposed to be the tissue to use to clean the surface, and it came with the mirror itself.

Before dreaming of Merlin, seven years ago, I had a few strong coincidences related to his persona.

I'm still afraid to read that book. I'm not ready, and I may never be ready anyway.

If you couldn't believe my story, I wouldn't blame you. I wouldn't believe any story like that.

      Spiegel Spiegel auf der Wand...

Mirror mirror on the wall, who is the most truthful of them all? The answer is that you are. You know who you are more than anyone else. If you feel that you are not ready, then take your time until you are ready to read the book (if you ever choose to read the book at all). You had a marvilous dream that may have offered you a message. If you want, buy the book, and put it away until you feel that you are ready. Maybe there will be a very personal message for you, maybe not, but you have free will and you can choose what to do. Whatever you decide, you should feel comfortable first and foremost.

I'm afraid to read about something that the woman who receives the mirror, in the novel, has to do, like a mission or other spiritual stuff.

If I take it too seriously as a message for me, I'm afraid to take it as a spiritual burden, or an uncompleted task.

p.s. I'm french. Please forgive my english.

I find it counter-productive to be afraid of knowledge and truth. But then that's just me. Knowledge can actually hurt, but is ignorance really such a good idea?

That's interesting that you've dreamed about that, because 2 nights ago I dreamt that I stood in front of a magical mirror. I'm not certain that it was merlin's, but a couple of weeks ago, I was waking up from a meditation state, and While waking up, I dreamt I was Merlin, and I felt like I was holding his staff. On top of that, a couple of months ago I was listening to the mists of avalon(the audiobook) and when the narrator mentioned excalibur I felt like I was holding it and I remember thinking about how heavy it felt. So based on those things, I think it might have been merlin's mirror(at least in my dream anyway). Do you think this might mean that the knights of the roundtable are supposed to reunite, or what do you think is the reason behind all of this?

Yes, definitely. Check the book out! If it were my dream, it would be telling me to get the book and read it! A dream librarian once handed me a book about Hermeticism before I knew what Hermeticism was (or even that it existed). As a result I decided to study western esoteric traditions, and I've found that in doing so I've learned so much that I would have otherwise missed. It's been nothing but a major positive experience.

      Go for it!
