My first OOB experience, I think...

This is my first post, and I wanted to relate my experience first in this post, before I really begin to explore this site in depth, the reason is that I don't want to be influenced by any information/experiences I may read about until I get mine written down. I hope you will understand.

Anyhoo, I was in my last year of college about 13 years ago, and I came home early one afternoon after a grueling round of finals, and little sleep the night before. I immediatey laid down on the couch and quickly fell asleep. Before long I was, um, flying, somehow. I remember being at the airport walking around when a big guy with a knife began to chase me through the lobby, as I was running from him, each step became longer and longer until I actually achieved flight, then I was able to easily leave this guy behind, but next thing I know I'm back at my college campus, except this time I'm flying around the grounds of the place, just loving every second of it, I remember being in disbelief even as I was flying through the air, looking down and around and feeling unbelievably great. But after awhile, I could feel something wanting me to wake up, and I distinctly remember trying to move my body to wake up my head, (like I have done many times in my dreams, which I can control BTW), but for some reason I can't wake up until... my body comes back down to my, um, body. Yes, it seemed that I was floating over myself and wanting to wake up but not being able to until I knew my body was back in my body, then the very second that it was, I woke right up. I say my 'body back in my body', but it seemed much lighter than my body somehow, hard to explain this aspect.

Please tell me what this all means, if you can. This has plagued me for 13 years, and have always been afraid to talk about it, and I stumbled across this site and feel kinda lucky, hoping I might find an explanation.

      Thanks so much!!!

astounding, its rare for people to have oobe's without consciously aiming towards it

the few i have had were more like incredibly detailed remote viewings

anyway, yes it sounds like you had an amazing oobe, if this happens quite often try to explore higher or lower realms of thought, they seem to be interesting

also around the earth is a sort of cataloging system of every conscious entities experience here (im pretty sure the same sort of thing is in the sun, but i have yet to go that far)

but you did indeed have an oobe

check out this site if your interested www.astralsociety.com

neway, also keep in mind dreaming is a form of astral projection, just sometimes the lesson learned by part of your conscoiusness is misinterpreted by the other part and the dream is not exactly what it is meant to be

but you can get out of your physical body relatively easy (from what i understand) from a lucid dream state, go to that site and have a look around and see what you come up with

      ne way, peace
      Why?

I find that 'consciously' aiming towards any kind of experience like this inhibits it's progress. Let go of the conscious mind, relax and listen to the subconscious. It is within our daydreams that we achieve so much. It is within the daydream state that great music is written, where ghosts and auras are made visible, and where we can truly leave our bodies behind.

Let go of consciousness, just a little needed to remember.

Channel what is behind it, let it flow.
Trust in those who seek the truth, beware of those who claim to have found it.
