      NEW to OOBE

Hi everyone I've just registered and i'm interested in AP/OOBE..I hope this is in the right area.....I'm new to this topic and wish to share what I've experienced so far and get some input...I use a little app called brainwave generator and have converted a certain preset called astral projection to my cd player....well let me start by saying I believe in this stuff full hearted and know I have to have a pure heart when trying to AP so last nite I listened to this preset for 40 min the first 5 min I started to get a cold chill on my legs and my arms kinda like a numbing feeling. My arms where the only heavy part at this time...I also had a very heavy feeling in my chest almost a pain...now I'm into this preset for about 15 min and start to see light forming in my eyelids as if someone turned a light on and I start to see images...please don't laugh but I saw a triangle have no clue why and also while I started to get more into this feeling I saw what appeared to be 2 ladies holding what looked like a string of some sort...I got a little freaked out and lost concentration...to make a long story short I never achieved AP for some reason my body wouldn't allow it..I was mind willing but something held me back...looking for opinions as to what this means and what help or technics I can use to achieve AP...thanks..

      WILD?

If you're afraid of what you might see when you're wandering, then that might be why you cant do it. Sit down and think about if you're ready to discover it. Your body is always ready to let you out, it has no control over it.

However the thing you described with the women and the light, sounded like a WILD to me. You can do OBE's with your eyes open, so when you get good at this (with your eyes closed) start to keep them open, just to make sure its not just a dream.

i thought astral projection was lucid dreaming, and "real-time" projection is when you walk around the real world

if astral projection is your goal i recommend searching for the WILD topics on this forum--you will find a bunch of information.

      Re: WILD?

Hrrmmm... Okay, I don't believe in OBE's as such. I think they're just lucid dreams that start with a false awakening.

      BUT

As for helping you? Well, BOTH my successful WILDs fit the description offered of an "OBE" to the bill. So, if I WERE a believer in OBE's right now, my siggy would say "OBEs: 2" instead of "WILDs: 2"

So, my suggestion is, if you *really* want to have an OBE, or whatever the hell it is that people seem to call an OBE, learn to WILD, and work from there.

OBE's are not dreams. So if you only practise with WILDS you'll eventually start thinking that your dreams are OBE's. I strongly recommend meditating when doing this, lying on the floor, eyes open. And when you slip out you're able to see your own body down there.

You should try this yourself "The Blue Meanie". If you're good at relaxing, I'm sure you will be able to do it. Personally I like to think my body is made of clay as I do it, heavy.. stone. And I visualize my soul filling that stone, then in the end I let myself go. I raise myself up.
