Well this might be hard for some to believe, and I didn't believe in ghosts until we moved here. It all started in Jan 2000. We bought this house from a family that had built it, the older couple had lived there most of their lives, but the man got sick and died there. He had built all four houses all of which have the same address, but are lettered. (Strange I know) But we live in his own personal house. For the first five years, we would notice small things, like things turning off for no reason, etc. We asked the neighbors if they had anything similar happen, and the guy next door said it happens alot. Well about a year ago, things really started to get freaky. My daughter and I rcently got our braces off, and we both have retainers. My daughter had lost hers, and looked for 4 days, finally finding it out in plain sight. The same thing happened to me. I misplaced mine, and I thought for sure I left it on the desk here where the computer is. Well I looked for that thing for I think two hours, going so far as to use a flashlight. Sure enough, we left and when we came back it was right on the desk. Now I thought maybe my wife was doing it subconciuosly or something, but get this. We havsome relatives that are indian, and we put some cedar up above our doorway, and we were leaving the house one day, and as we were leaving, there is a barbecue grill on oujr front deck, a real heavy duty one. The lid just flew up behind us way up into the air. I actually went back, checked the wind,, (very weak) felt how heavy the lid was, and determined that there was NO possible way that thing flew up into the air. So we took the cedar down.

I myself have noticed in certain areas of the house that it feels like someone is walking behind me at times. My wife said one time she felt someone behind her, and she saw a shadow back up, trying not to be seen. We aren't too sure what he wants, but we think that he is restless or unhappy, I'll tell you why...

When we first moved in, I started having these dreams where I actually thought I was awake while I was dreaming. I've had all kinds of strange things happen, all the while seeming like I was wide awake. Well last night had a similar dream, and mind you all of these dreams seem like they are coming out of the walls. I'm not sure why. But I saw the man, he was older with glasses, and he seemed upset. I was so terrified that I woke up, but I could swear I was already awake. (again) But this time I was really afraid. My wife said I should ask him even if I just think it what the reason is that he's so upset. Well that's hard to do, and I was so afraid. I'm not sure what to do.

We do plan on moving soon, maybe he realizes this. I'm not sure. We went and saw a psychic and I told her about it, (she's a real one btw) and she said he means no harm, but there's a conflict there. She also said he has reverted back to his childhood. Sometimes I wonder about his childhood, because in one dream I saw a picture of firemen hanging on the wall (Another dream that seemed like I was awake) I just wonder what's going to happen next.

I tell myself that it's just life as usual, no big deal, we have a ghost in our house. And I say when the time comes that I won't be afraid, but last night was a different story. I guess I just want to help him. I also heard what sounded like a 8-15 year old boy scream while I was downstairs. Whatever it is, I'm not sure what we can do to help. I guess I need to just deal with it next time, and not be so afraid. But why didn't he just tell me? I get the feeling that he will male himself visible soon, things are kind of slowly building to a climax. (I know it sounds silly)

Well tell me what you would do. And believe me, I'm not crazy, these things have happened.
      Thanks

First off - I believe you. I don't think people make this kind of stuff up - and even though I've never had any first-hand paranormal experience such as this, I'm not as closed-minded to deny it exists. You can read other people's "ghost stories" if you like. Actually, loveapple's stories are similar to yours.

It's easy to say 'stay calm' and 'don't let it frighten you' when you're not in your situation so I won't say that. It's a shame you couldn't find out more details from the psychic about the 'childhood conflict' this entity is hanging onto. Can you find out more history about the house? It sounds like the beginning of a thriller movie, but maybe you can uncover the reason for the unrest.

Or just move out. That's probably what I'd do.

Have you ever thought of using a digital audio recording device to ask him questions and then play it back to see if there is a answer? Understand a lot of things can happen so be sure you are ready and try to be respectful. If the person isn't harming you then he might be able to protect and help if you come to respect and understand it better. Before you do anything to help the person try to find out what else is in the house. Removing a non-harmful spirit could open the path for a harmful spirit to take place. Research the house and if you are capable of drawing try to draw out a picture of the man. Another suggestion that can be a little dangerous if you do not prepare yourself is to allow the spirit to use a pen or pencil and let the movement of it take you. It is either the subcon. or the spirit that will some time write messages if you allow yourself to be a window for it. Just see what you need to do in order to protect yourself on all levels. Just going to add another thing might be to let yourself be put under hypnosis and try to see if the spirit or dreams can be talked about with someone.
