Today I was placed in a situation which felt exactly like a dream I had. The dream happened a long time ago but things happen all the time that resurrect old memories. I will not describe this situation because.... well I could get in trouble. All the core details were the same, the object placement, the positions of the people. Has anyone else had a dream which was followed by a situation that was eerily similar?

Sounds pretty creepy and cool at the same time. I've personally never experience anything like it, but I have noticed and odd and seemingly coincidental pattern in my dreams that seem to be hinting towards the future. It's hard to explain.

I actually read about some guy who can dream the future on occasion. It isn't controlled or anything, the dreams just happen. Then he paints the main theme/point of the dream and goes down to Time Square and takes a picture of him holding it in front of the clock with the date; obviously to prove that it was done before the actual incident happened. Pretty interesting stuff.

Can you not tell your dream because it is inappropriate to the site, or other reasons? Because I'm very curious to know what it was. If you feel comfortable I'd like to hear about it (via PM).

Whether you are a religious person or not, this can mean something.
Depending on what kind of situation it was and you avoided the situation if it were bad or fulfilled it if it is good, then it could be a voice from God.
There are many skeptics in this world, but you may believe this as a voice from Him if you haven't already thought so.
      What do you think?

I had this happen to me quite a few years ago, I dreamt that my wife (then girlfriend) & I got stuck in the laneway (t'was Winter time) and then after we got out I rolled the car down the road a ways. So I tell her about it, glad I did because she never would have beleived me after the fact, before we leave for work in the morning. Then after we didn't get stuck in the driveway I'm saying "Woo hoo! I guess we aren't going to roll the car after all." Then not 10 minutes down the road we hit black ice on a corner & roll the car... & beleive you me, I was NOT trying to get us killed. That was for sure in my top 3 of weirdest things that have ever happened to me. I'm sure the Mrs. thought I was some kinda freak too, honestly who "predicts" the future for real, huh? It went wayyy beyond deja-vu.

      smooches,

Remember that your mind is always trying to make connections; it may be a complete coincidence that what you dreamed actually occurred. Consider that you probably have thousands of dreams throughout your lifetime, you're bound to have a dream that has one little detail in common with the next couple days.

There was much more than one little detail.

I've been having this happen to me for as long as I remember, it's actually one of the reasons I am trying to become lucid, to try and explore the ability. I never remember the dreams until I am actually experiencing the event, and then I just have to laugh about it. It also only happens a couple of times a year. I have actually stopped people in the middle of these experiences and told them what they were about to say or do. Unfortunately I have no control over it, but hopefully that'll all change soon.

Man I want to write it up so bad but not only could I get in trouble, but it also contains a secret that I have withheld from the public that I vowed not to tell anyone.

That has happened to me before, on multiple occasions. I dream something, and forget about it for a few weeks or months, then that EXACT thing happens the EXACT same way as in my dream. Has to have happened at least 25 times in my life so far.

Here is my similar experience with this...

I had a dream that my best friend and his wife were walking with me along a tightrope, we were trying to balance on this strand of rope and held onto strands of rope that were set up as rails for our hands. It was very unstable and we were on major nerves. However.. the rope was only about 6 inches off the ground. When we reached the end, we breathed a sigh of relief, then his wife walked to the edge of this very VERY high cliff. She looked at us and smiled then jumped off the edge. We watched her fall fall fall fall and finally end up in the water. When she splashed it scared some nearby seagulls and they flew off. I remember counting them for some reason and there were 11 of them. She waved to us to let us know she was okay, then she swam away. We walked to a cabin nearby and he wasnt with me anymore, but I was carrying a baby in my arms, who had his first name. A woman answered the door and let me in... I tried to give her the baby, saying it wasn't mine. She hugged me and told me "yes, he is yours now" and sent me on my way with the baby, who had my best friends (male) first name.

Now.. did all that happen? No.. but here is what DID happen... I got a call two days later from my best friend, who I had sent a copy of that dream to, telling me that his wife of '11' years just told him that she wanted a divorce, that had 'fallen' out of love with him and feels like she is 'drowning'. She said to him that she would be okay, and that perhaps he needs to be with ME, because we are so close and I've always been a good friend to him. (She did not say this like she thought he and I were involved, it was a genuine comment about our friendship.) She told him he needed to 'start over' and try again.

His words to me were.. "remember that dream you had?"... I said, yes.. and he began telling me the news. I was completely in shock. So don't dismiss your dreams becoming a reality. Yes some things are concidental, others.. not so much. Good luck, and if you are willing to share with a stranger, I'd love to hear the details of the dream in confidence.

Well, I have had similar things happen. Very regularly, (about 5 times a month), I think of an episode of a show during the day then forget about it. I then see that episode either later that day or the next day. I then think oh, I was thinking about this episode today. One time it happened right before the show. An for all those people who say it's coincidence, there are about 700 simpsons episodes and I once predicted 11 times in a month. It's very very unlikely it was coincidence.

Though it may be the laws of attraction.

Another precognitive event occurred when I had a dream where me and a friend I had not seen for 2 years were skateboarding. 2 days later he just rang me up and invited me over. I was very surprised.

There have also been moments where someone has been speaking and I thought of an entire sentance right before he said it. There is a guy in my grade that is a freak at this. I would be talking to him and he would actually be saying the words for me.

Also, I have the fastest reflexes in my school.

I actually get this a lot, i call it predictions and most of my more normal lucid dreams, have been based around something that actually happens to me days later, for example when i was 5 i was visiting my gran, and i had this dream that my mum and my uncle were argueing, then the next day, my mum and my uncle started argueing, and i could tell it from my dream because the words used were those from my dream. It's something i've kept secret for a while but i kinda like it
In my dreams i've walked both life and death, seen much, seen little, predicted the future and reminisced in the past. But in life i will still live my life how it was set out, but in my dreams i can live it how I want

That's weird! I also used to have a knack for predicting episodes of The Simpsons. I haven't done so in a long time, however. Don't know what it was.

Yes, those are called precognitive dreams. Which may also be a sign of personal clairvoyance.

today, at 9:04, I suddenly started thinking of the Chaser(an Australian show which is awesome). Suddenly, my dad came in and said, "the Chaser is on."

So I watched it. It was hell funny.

I didn't think anyone else had this.
I get this all the time.

I'll be doing something, and then out of nowhere, I'll get the intense feeling like I've done it before, like a deja-vu.

It isn't unltil after I get the sensation when I remember the dream, which sucks.

Two nights ago, I had a dream that there was a power outage and was thinking in my dream about how much I take electricity for granted.

Last night, we got a severe thunderstorm (in real life) and we lost power for 12 hours. I remembered my dream after I started thinking about how much I take electricity for granted...

Weird that I had that dream, and the same day, the exact same scenario happens.

      That is bizarre.
I don't seem to remember my dream until after the event has happened.
