I found this group while searching on google and hopefully I am in the right place. Just to tell you a little about myself, I am 24 and about 3 years ago I began realizing that I was able to dream what was going to happen the next day. II have finally really accepted this fact and would like to learn how to refine this skill that I have, because I am sure it is for a reason. At first I discounted it as a coincidence, but these "dreams" have occurred way to often. I cannot "tell" what dreams will come true, but I am starting to realize that each dream that comes true is the one dream that I explicitly remember the next morning and it sticks out in my mind.

Let me give you a few examples as to what has happened starting four years ago and possibly you could tell me what it may be.

I have dreams, that I conciously remember starting about 4 years ago when I was in college. I had a dream about lottery numbers (please read further!) and the next day the numbers I dreamed were the pick 4 day numbers here where I live. This same thing happened three more times. About once every year (that I remember). I would dream 4 numbers and I would remember them, and the next day they would be the pick 4 numbers.

Most recently my clairvoyant dreams have taken different forms. For example, I had a dream one night that my boyfriend would be approved for funding for a proposal that he had submitted a month before. The very next day in the morning, the contracting officer notified him to let him know that he in fact received the grant, but there were some problems with the numbers that they needed to work out. And in my dream, very specifically I remember there being a piece of paper with a long list of montary numbers, and there was discussion between my boyfriend and the contracting officer about how there are some problems but they would get them fixed. My dream never explicitly said problems with how the figures worked out, but I remember the long sheet of paper that included numbers, and in my dream they were very focused on this piece of paper together. Also, when I woke up that morning I told my boyfriend about my dream, but I was hesitant because I could not figure out what the "problem" was, but he called me a few hours later that morning when I was at work and he told me that the contracting officer called him, but there were some figures dealing with payroll that needed to be worked out.

Another dream most recently happened yesterday. I dreamt that I was brushing my dog and while I Was brushing him chunks of his skin under his armpit area came off. The skin looked like salmon skin though (we just had salmon the night before) but he was fine, it was just chunks of skin. To connect, the next morning when I woke up I noticed my dog limping and some how or another one of his dew claw pads (the underside in his "ankle" area) he was missing a small chunk of skin, I think from playing or he got it caught on something, but he was fine. It was just weird how it all connected.

Sorry to ramble, but I really would like to know why I am able to do this, and if this is something that can be controlled or if there are any exercises that I can practice to strengthen this ability.

      Thanks for your help.

Hallow, lilvive, this ability is called precognitive dreaming.

I find this ability very intriguing. I also have the same ability, but like you I'm unable to know for sure what dreams are precognitive or not. I've made several posts about my experiences with this type of dreaming but most people around here don't get into the subject. Thats not to say DV is not a good sight it's one of the best.

I'm glad to know your not scared of this ability, allot people are. This allows you to explore the ability further, which is something you should do. Just take it slow and let the answers come to you, keep your thoughts on figuring it out and you will. Give it time to develop on it's own. Don't give up.

You may be interested in my post here I talk about precognitive dreaming and there are a few suggestions that might help.

To hear my theory on precognition click here this may make sense it's not he best but I did what I could.

Hi lilvive, welcome to DV! Enjoy your stay, and I hope you stick around...

Just wanted to say something regarding something you wrote:

Next time you dream of numbers, play the lottery!

Ohh, and then split the money with me.

I belive those sort of dreams often occur, but we remember them less often.

The feeling "DejaVu" is often related to something that happenend in a Dream happening in real life, we have this "feeling" that something has already occured, but when infact it seems impossible, the only real conclusion is that you must have dreamt about it, and the most prominent trigger to "recall" the dream/memory is the actual memory repeating itself in real life. ( Hence the feeling of uneasiness. )

      I think so anyway.

As for this 'ability,' if it is true, could it mean we have a fate? Or that our subconscious thinks for us, giving our conscious only the illusion of reality.

      A puzzling thought.

I have these dreams too..but not as often as you do. Its only happened a few times...and its never the next day..usually a few weeks or months later.
      Also...
      i have deja vu..FREQUENTLY...
i think maybe its because i havnt fully developed the precognition dreaming yet..and forget in the morning..and then maybe when i have deja vu..its cuz i did it in a dream..
i used to tell ppl that when i was younger..and they would just laugh.
      oh well..
laugh your ass off ! hehe
