      Shared Dreaming [A Sort-of Theory]

Ok so basically to begin with, I can't say I really know WHAT to think about shared dreaming at this point. I am leaning towards the idea that it's possible however that it wouldn't be easy without practice and that most of the people who think it happened are probably under a false impression.

It seems as though in reality, human beings share a sort of telepathic bond of some sort (not on the conscious level). This has been brought up in many different situations, the main being where it was essentially proven in a study on airplane hijackings. The study showed that an airplane that was going to be hijacked would have 70% more passenger cancellations than a regular flight. This was checked countless times against many different records and every time they found that the amount of cancellations was always exponentially greater in a flight with a said outcome. It was stated that this probably stemmed from some sort of subconscious "collective knowledge" that in a sense allowed people to know, but not really "know" (in their conscious mind) what was going to happen. It was nothing more than a "bad feeling" but it was present nonetheless.

I would think that in a dreaming situation, since you are more tapped into your subconscious that you would also be able to gain more conscious control of this "telepathic" ability. I am looking at it from the perspective of, if you are in reality then you can "daydream" and "imagine" something but it wont be quite the same as actually being there in a lucid dream. I would assume that this ability, while present in real life could also be magnified as such from within a dream. I would however, also assume that to bring it to a point where one could actually appear in the mind of another it would take a great deal of focus, control, and channeling of concentration.

I wonder if it's even possible or actually been proven, but I guess if humans DO share a sort of telepathic bond even on a subconscious level, I would assume that the way to further these capabilities would be within a lucid dream where you are allowed greater access into your mind and it's abilities. Idunno, just a random though that seemed to be going somewhere

I know I can't prove it to anyone, but I have had a Shared Dream with a friend before. I had a dream, and when I became lucid, I went to find my friend. After I found her, we started talking and I was able to convince her it was just a dream. We had alot of fun with other dream characters, and after I woke up, I was talking to her and brought up the dream I had, and about halfway through it, she stopped me and finished telling about the dream. It was cool, but kind of weird at the same time.

So I know myself that its possible, I just hope someday We're capable of proving it to other people.

Well, during that dream I guess my first question is how close were you (distance wise) to her? and also...did you have a different intent than normal? as in where you actually TRYING to meet up with her for real or would you have settled for your minds projection of her? Maybe distance/goals and mindset have something to do with it.
