      scared to death?

I had heard about astral projection a while ago from my friend. but i never relally took it seriously. i had been having weird vibrating sensations and paralisis (sp?) for years before though so it kind of made sense but unfortunatly it scared the living crap out of me.
anyways it didnt really happen for a long time until last week where there was like a month where i would have really bad dreams or just really weird dreams that i would remember even though usually i dont remember my dreams. i've had lucid dreams before but usually i dont force myself to it just happens. but the point is that up to last week these dreams kept going on and then one night i had a lot of dreams and i could not sleep without dreaming. then i woke up at like 4am and kind of rolled around in bed feeling light headed and i curled up on my side and just chilled. i KNOW i did not fall asleep. but then i started hearing voices that said my name. and some were screaming and i got that vibrating noise and feeling but it kept switching from voices to that vibrating noise. then i felt my legs just float up into the air. but only my legs to up to maybe my hip. i flipped out and i tried to wake up but i couldnt move. then i felt that everything was ok againand that i was awake so i wanted to leave my room and go sleep with my mom (i was REALLY SCARED) so i get up and start walking to my door and i was FLOATING. not walking! that scared me again and i looked back and i saw myself lying on my bed and then i just got scared and felt i got suckd into something and i woke up...but i was never asleep. and when i did 'wake up' i was still in the same position only that my arms were around my head. i dont remember switching my arms to that position only vaguely remember that i was scared of the noises. (after i woke up i went to sleep with my mombut i was on the verge of tears).
anywyas the point of it was that since then i've been completely convinced that this stuff does happen and its real and not a dream. i've been doing research but i dont find anyone saying anything about hearing voices? cuz these realllllly scared me cuz they chanted and said my name and stuff in spooky ways.
but yea i wanted to share my experience and ask about the voices to someone who willa ctually listen and not think i'm crazy. so if u think i'm crazy dont bother replying cuz i've had enough of that.
so if you have experiences with voices or know about possesion (something else i'm scared of thats stopping me from experimenting.) please tell me because i cant find enough on it.

      thnk u in advance

You can't be possessed when astrally projecting. And those voices are either auditory hallucinations or spirits bothering you lol. If I were you I'd practice both lucid dreaming and astral projection to become comfortable with them. You're usually in control so remember that and don't let the unknown scare you.
Who needs skill when you have luck?

You know what? 'you're so lucky. I can'l even have a LD and always wanted to experience astral projection and I CANT. But you, you have that naturally. I tottaly agree with Diablo. "if I were you i would practice" you can feel special about that.
oh and about that voices...i have no idea.

Luckly, I know what your talking about, i'm a natural LDer and have about 10 a week. I'm good at it so I don't even waste my time with LD task of the Month. But I can't AP for my life. I've done it. But by no means am I good at it. Anyways what I'm getting to is that i've done alot of reachseach on it. THe voices you are hearing are:

      1) Yourself (different personalties)

      2) Hypnotic because your alsleep (Yes you were sleeping belive it or not)

      3) Guides

      4) Lower astral beings (That's if you really belive in APing)

Note: Lower astral beings are just like us they make mistakes, laugh, have fun, etc.

Personally I think that is Hypnotic.... Personally

Good reading on APing is Erin Palvina Blog (google it)

      Wink sleep paralysis

i really hate the fact everyone is called this state sleep paralysis, i been researching this stuff for about 16 years, and in my research i came to know the state of sleep paralysis to be called astral catalepsy, but i soon realized that they are the one and the same, just different terms from different view points, but you should not fear it, think about it as a trance like state, that only special people are aware of
but i cant tell you 100% that the voice you heard were real or not, for even my self i experienced voices while in trance, they didnt speak to me, just laughing at me take care

I'm afraid I take an agnostic view of astral travel; in my case though, at the onset of sleep paralysis I often hear my name, Benjamin, spoken very quickly, as if all the consonants had been left out (it sounds rather like 'bnchmn'). Don't fret about it- I've always assumed that it's a perfectly normal effect of the transition to a dreamscape.

O reason, reason, abstract phantom of the waking state, I had already expelled you from my dreams, now I have reached a point where those dreams are about to become fused with apparent realities: now there is only room here for myself.
