      Trying to have an OBE

      I've been trying for about two weeks. I looked at this one website where it says to have keep the same thought in your head so your mind gets bored and shuts down. Nothing happens though. Does anyone have any tips for me? Thanks

      It's ALL about focus. I suggest that if you aren't making any progress, you need better concentration + relaxation. A perfect balance of those two creates the conditions for projection.

      I also suggest meditation. This developes your concentration, you see, if you want it too much, and you dwell on it, you will not be focused enough for it to happen.

      That is my major problem, I have identified it, and I'm going to fix it.

      the one most important thing to AP is getting all of your concoiusness down to a single thought, try focusing on that constant ringing in your head for a long time until that is all you know exist, the vibrations will run in and you can begin lifting, try to loosin all of your bodys magnetic pull to your astrl body until you drift away from yourself. and youve also have to have alot of patience, that is very important to. and you have to let go of all your fears, fear will stop you from accomplishing alot, let it all go, dont even let yourself know fear exist, just drift away into serenity..............

      It's not really a matter of "I'll try again tonight." If you can't concentrate before chances are you wont be able to again. This means that you have to use exercises to build up your concentration until you can. Thus the meditation I recommend.

      This is coming from someone who has only had vibrations and astral sight once and has spent a couple months trying to replicate that by the way.

      yeah

      Yes I realize that it isn't going to happen right away, and that it takes time. I think this username might make people think I'm a naive teenager. Or maybe I'm just perceiving what you said the wrong way. I looked at some websites about meditation and did some of the excersizes on a website about OOBE's today. Hopefully I'll improve on this. Thanks for your help.

      Tried again

      Well I tried again, I did not succeed in it, but I think I'm progressing. I could keep my mind clear. Since the first time I tried I could always feel a slight tingling up my spine but maybe I'm just imagining it? Nothing seems to happen though, and it's very exhausting.

      try this sleep on the edge of your bed so you are almost going to fall off try to have a lucid dream. In it fly realy hie then go realy fast back down slamming your self into the ground you may wake up out of your bed on the floor not in your body or in your body. thats how i had mine but i wasent lucid in the dream. or just wake up in the middle of the night and try what you usaly do.

      try the ROPE technique i was succesful but i could only hold it for a bit tehn went back

      Try this:

      Take a hot shower, and stretch all the parts of your body until you feel reaaaally relaxed. Lay down in your bed, or in a recliner, and allow your mind to clear, focusing on your breath. Do this until you feel kind of heavy, like you're falling asleep. Imagine a ringing noise in your mind, and imagine it getting louder and louder and just focus on this ringing until you start to feel vibrations.

      BTW, the best time to try to project is in the mornings, your body is already totally relaxed so you can skip a huge part of the process.

      For me, the first time I had vibrations and gained astral sight was just waking up one day and just focusing on that ringing. Soon (Meaning less than 2 minutes) I started spinning and BAM huge vibrations spread throughout my body in a matter of seconds. I had astral sight soon after, but I didn't know how to get out. I guess I was just too excited, and this was my first time to try OBE too, it was unbelievable.

      you mentioned a tingle in your spine, i get that to, mostly in the neck area, my friend said its because of the large amount of acid i have consumed, but if you get it to then either you have also consumed Lysergic Acid amides in quantities or this is not true, interesting

      you may try to take some vitamin B6 - by some unknown means it helps you with concentration while you try OBE/LD thingie...

      when in a lucid dream, just try to wake up you mind. thats how i had mine. you'll wake totaly conentrated and relaxed, as long as you just wake your mind not body.
