      tarot cards

I picked up a deck of tarot cards at the local Barnes & Nobles today. I have never used them before and never really thought they worked, but I decided to buy a pack just for the hell of it. My friend tells me that they definitely do work and I'm sure they work to an extent or they wouldn't have been used for this long but... anyone have any insight, opinions, or tips on these? Can i just ask a random question, concentrate really hard, pick some random cards, and that is the answer??

The cards themself hold no magic, its the energy that you place into them yourself,

Ask a question, meditate on it for some time, Pick your cards,
See what you can get from them,

Much of the time you wont find the answers in the cards, but more within yourself, because the cards are a tool to help you explore yourself, the cards will give you something to contemplate, questions to help guide yourself to possible answers

Don't think that you can just pull out a pack and ask a question, and look at the card and find the answer literally there...

Its a longer process than that

      Anyways, best of luck

I think Tarot cards are really general and on SOME level apply to everyone. I was playing around with my friend's deck one day and followed the directions on the back. I was like "OMFG WTF THIS IS RIGHT" but i looked at more of the cards and they seemed way too general. The makers of tarot cards must pride themselves on the ability to look deep within society.

heh Tarot cards are fun .. I don't know if they actually show anything .I basically do them for kicks.

Like people have said, they are general.

I know the death card doesn't actually mean death but the one with the daggers through the person does (or supposedly it does.) I know there are different ways to set them up.

      Hi dreamkitten

You better use right deck, only one i know is "RIDER WAITE".

Ask your question(must mean it) take card or two

example: if i learn to drive car and get drivers licence, how does that effect my future ?

taken one card: The Magician (youll be your master-not depending on others what goes to travelling)

Always must carefully study picture on card (what does it say about your question)

      good luck

After I got my cards, my friend's aunt gave me a reading over the phone. Her reading gave me great insight to my life. the strangest part was that i bought a book on tarot spreads the next day and gave myself the same reading and the cards I got depicted the exact same story my friend's aunt told me. It really kind of freaked me out.

I love my new tarot cards and will continue to use them daily for spiritual guidance. I will admit I am a skeptic, but I would like to believe it's true, if it works for me. i have also purchaed the "Fairies Oracle" cards which have GREAT reviews on Amazon.com. Supposedely they can give great insight to life if you have an imagination. and an imagination is important to lucid dreaming, and I think these cards will be of great help to many people. I have already orrdered mine and I cannot wait to recieve and use them!!!!

I have gone nuts lately... I ordered like 8 diff herbs off this website to create my own dream pillow concoction... with a few extras to give away to my friends.

Check this product out! Read the reviews! let's experience some fairie magic =p~

I was hoping someone said this...

The people here who say 'Tarot cards are general, or too general', just show their lack of knowledge about Tarot. They have probably heard a short, simplistic explanation of the cards (like typical horoscope explanation in magazines).

These cards are not general at all, because each en every time you work with the cards, it is an intimate relation between you and them. And most important of all is the circumstances that give context to that relation.

The interpretation you can receive from a true Tarot reader regarding the Death card (for instance), might have nothing to do with the interpretation you'd get from the same card and reader, but in another circumstance.

As LucidMind said, the cards are symbolic. That means that every card is like a vast sea of knowledge...
