      buzzing and shocks during OBE/AP

i've read over and over the definition of an AP and OBE. i can say i've had numerous OBEs in one day alone. everytime time, i would hear loud ass buzzin sounds, and then my body would shake. yesturday afternoon i woke up and had an OBE..i tried to force myself to wake up but i got into a deeper trance.. finally, waves of shock went through my body and i saw a colorful image in front of me.. i dont think it was an aura. does anyone know anything of it? or has anyone had shocks too?

oh yea, everytime i have an OBE, i cant really travel.. i'm just above my body. anyone know how to move?

Yes, buzzing is a signature sound often heard while astral projecting or having an O.B.E. It is very possible that you saw an aura or a spirit because your senses are heightened in that state. I always see auras emanating from objects and people when astral projecting. And yes at first you will experience a physical shock upon the beginning (leaving) or ending(re-entering) of an experience.

I had the shocks yesterday morning.

I always have trouble traveling too. Some people pretend to be balloons or feathers and float away, but thats never worked for me.

Yeah buzzing is part of that...

Maybe you have had some troubles of traveling because you're still in your body! Or that you're still "glued" to your body. Making sense?

Or even could be that your trance is not deep enough.

      Hope that helps!

Don't trust what you are seeing right now because you might be dreaming right now. Be LUCID! I repeat, be LUCID!

Are you feeling any fear or anxiety during the buzzing noises or when you experience the glued down feelings??

about 3 weeks ago, I had one of the worst dreams of my life. Right before I woke up I felt a terrible buzz, almost like the kind you get from an electric shock I dont know if it means anything though...

It's common for the buzzing, a glued down feeling, or tingling because all your limbs are still asleep, to occur just prior to a projection, or at the conclusion of one. In either case if you can maintain that physical state, and remain calm, it is a good state to induce an AP if so desired. Do not focus on the physical if you do want to try for one. Doing that may cause you to wake up. Instead go with the glued down feeling and will yourself up. Or will yourself to feel like your sinking down. It's easier to project when passing from sleeping to wake than the other way around. Probably because it's easier to hold the hynagogic state just before awakening because your already rested.

OBE movement is exactly like Lucid movement. Move with the mind, feel your self moving, imagine it and it'll happen.

Exactly. And keep in mind that when you will it, it may take a few moments for your body to become upright.

Your will is the most effective means. Try saying what you wish verbally. Also start little, like willing yourself to slowly float forward. Baby steps.

hahaha i can move around in every other way except for flight. *sigh* OH YEAH! I never told you about my running dream!

I was this mechanical thing (kind of like one of those Lego Toa thingies) And i could run fast as hell! It was so FRIKIN AWSOME!!! I tried to steel a car (i failed) but then when the police came in their little cars, I was outrunning them like crazy, it was one hell of a good dream

As with everyone else, I agree that the buzzing (vibrations) is the beginning of the experience. However, I don't think you can really travel when you're at the half-way point (in between the sleep state and being awake). The sleep state is the door to travel though. I travel often; so often, in fact, that I know the feeling when I wake in the morning. Do I always remember? No. That's where deja-vus come in. Let me explain my take on it:

Hmm...deja-vus. This is a rough, uneducated opinion and definitely not based on any research or books read. I'm just a person who became self aware, and through this awareness, was able to explore what was happening to me while at the half-way point and while lucid dreaming.

You are four parts: your mind, your body, your spirit (the eternal part of you (ancient)) and your soul (your essence/aura for this life).

Specifically, you might ask, what is the difference between the spirit and the soul? Here's your answer: Your soul is your astral body and your spirit is your "higher" mind. It works in the same way your brain (lower thoughts) and body work together. It is essentially the same type of relationship.

      Mind
      Body

      Spirit
      Soul

What most people don't know is that they travel almost every night when they sleep. The people that realize that they are having this experience often explain it as being asleep in their room, unable to move, feeling frozen with the ability to see everything happening in the room. The reason these people can't move their physical bodies is because they're trying to move their physical bodies (which are sleep) and they're actually outside their bodies (soul) viewing everthing with the spirit and translating with their brain. For what purpose? Well, because they are their spirits first and it's the nature of being a spirit...to travel (with the soul body, of course). That's a most important thing to know. This is what most people remember about the experience, but there is so much more. It this state, as you go deeper, either you: Connect with God, time travel, travel to local or foreign lands to witness events, visit people on this plane or on the other side, etc, etc..Who knows the reasons? I suspect it's to help us overall with life and all of its adversities and trials; to help us achieve, overcome; to warn, if neccessary.

As a result, it's important to realize that the higher mind (spirit) knows almost everything and in most cases, it has seen your future. It's hard to believe, but just because your spirit knows something, it doesn't mean your brain knows. However, when the brain does see something (during the waking hour), it cross-references the scene with the spirit instantaneously, almost like a computer. When it does, sometimes there is recognition. As a result, you experience deja-vus. That's where they come from; your spirit knows the future and your brain, during cross referencing, recognizes what the spirit already knows. Along these lines you must understand that dreams are simply the lower mind's (brain) attempt to translate what the spirit (higher mind) is seeing or experiencing. This is the reason that dreams sometime make perfect sense, but they have weird elements to them (blue pigs flying, pink clouds, etc.). That is because the brain is creating images to interpret what spirit knows and because it is lower, it doesn't always get it right. Actually, it gets it right, but the images are definitely subject to interpretation.

Also of importance: Your spirit is eternal and is VERY wise. Life is a journey and experiences contribute to your growth. Your own spirit will keep things away from you. Let me rephrase that: you'll keep details away from yourself until you are ready to accept them. This is probably the hardest thing for most people to accept. Most people would hardly believe that they know the future but would still allow themselves to go through certain things and not prevent them. As previously stated, your own spirit is wise and knows what will add to your existence down the road.

      Buzzing...

If your body is still vibrating when you awaken, it means you have just returned from astral travelling. I do it so much, that if I'm awaken before I have a chance to come back, I'll have a monstrous headache that no aspirin or other medicine can cure.

Yes I know it's surprising! You never know where you'll find a kindred spirit.
