Open minds - dreams - question

I just adopted a little black homeless cat... When the lady dropped her off she automatically went where i imagined she would - on the sofa in my studio... I said bye to the lady and went in to say hello to my cat and as i switched the light on the bulb flashed and popped, i was left in the dark with only the TV in the other room and a tea/light candle to light my flat 'till morning... Shortly after I sat next to 'Isis' (as i've decided to call her) and took a picture. After 5 attempts off strange smokey/foggy like stuff surrounding her - in the picture - i managed to get a clear picture with this strange substance floating above her. - (no the smoke from bulb had cleared by then.lol) I went to bed and the following morning i had a dream that we were talking to each other in a strange cat language. I open my eyes and she was staring into mine with her big beautiful green eyes... I tried to take a picture in the daylight and this shadow smoke stuff was still above her in the picture... She is so clever and never does anything i ask her to do when i say it or try to force her, but she always seems to do exactly as i want when i think it. Again this morning we were talking in my dream - i opened my eyes and looked straight where she was lying perched on top of my wardrobe looking down at me with huge eyes... It's funny because i have a R.dream where i am perched crossed legged on top of the wardrobe looking down at myself. My friend said this R.D is an O.B.E? but i'm not sure?... I find a good way to practice L.D is to hold an empty bowl in your hand and just think food, and as it switches taste it and smell it. It's so much fun and you don't put on any wait and you can taste your favourite things. mmmhh

Have you ever read Neil Gaiman's Sandman series? Especially the book Dream Country, A Dream of A Thousand Cats. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_San..._Thousand_Cats There is a lot of folklore about cats and dreaming. I wish I remembered specifics, but read around on cat mythology, and you will see what I mean. I've heard a lot about cats living halfway in the dream world. EDIT: I'm going to go ahead and move this to the 'Beyond Dreaming' section

I had a weird experience with my cat too. It's like I saw her dream instead of mine. In this dream, our cat had gotten 3 kittens! Which is impossible since the cat lives in this appartement and theres no contact with other cats. One of them was like handicapped and really small. I played with the 3 kittens, but my vision was low on the floor! It was as if I was in the body of the cat. It was a very vivid dream, and quite long. When I woke up, I could remember everything very clearly, just as if it was a memory of the real world. I told this dream to my dads gf, I was pretty convinced the dream was telling me that our cat was pregnant of three kittens. I only moved in recently, so I didn't know about the cats history. And apparently, the cat did have 3 kittens last year, and one of them died at birth... very much like my dream. The third kitten that died was alot smaller than the other kittens she told me. This is the first time I ever dreamt about the cat. And the dream was apparently very accurate. How is this possible? Maybe this is just coincidence, but this accident made me very interested in shared dreaming..

My little black cat... Thanks for info, she seems to be settling in now and although she has appeared in my dream, she was just walking beside me and the dream was about something else.... Anyway, she is not speaking to me at the moment because i can't let her out yet.lol. I've never met such a sensitive cat. I don't think she wants to hurt me. I hope not, i think we have an understanding, she is enjoying the peace and the great food...
