Premonition?

I have no memory of this dream, but my parents told me that when I was 4, my mum was in hospital about to have her second child, but I didn't know that my mum was pregnant. I was too young to understand much really. I was at home and my grandmother was looking after me. That night, according to my grandmother, I was tossing and turning in bed. She said it looked like I was having a bad dream. After a while I suddenly stopped and I was calm for the rest of the night. The next morning I went to nursery and when my grandmother came to pick me up, my teacher told my grandmother, "congratulations!" My grandmother, puzzled, asked why and my teacher said "Your grandchild told me she has a new baby brother." My grandmother was very surprised - I didn't even know that my mum was pregnant, let alone that I now had a brother. My mum and my grandmother discussed this later on that day, and they worked out that at the exact time that I suddenly stopped tossing and turning, my brother was born. Has anyone else had any strange experiences of dreaming when they were younger?

I wouldn't call that a premonition as much as more of a connection between you and your mother. I'd say it's kinda similar to how clocks stop at the moment when someone dies or how a close family member might just all of a sudden get the feeling that something is wrong. I've never had anything weird like that happen to me but I wouldn't doubt that it's possible.

Yeah sounds like a mental link! Pretty cool, Carl Jung also made reference to this in his works. Shared dreams among family, and kids figuring out things about the parents they didn't know through their dreams. I haven't had such an experience myself, but I've heard about this before

The closest experience to this that I have experienced is while I was staying at a hotel. I had this horrible feeling all day that something wasn't right, that something bad was gonna happen. Anyway long story short the exact second that that feeling subsided the hotel caught fire (unknown to me at the time). After we evacuated (it was only a small fire anyway) I realised that something weird happened and I had no idea what it was. maybe it was a form of premonition?
