They say the big things materialized, and dematerialized. Why not just say went in and out of stealth mode? btw with the youtube coments. I love how people say "if the government knew UFO's they would tell the world". LOL!!!! and that will cause mass panic around the globe. That's why they keep the secrets from the civilians.

The general consensus is that the rods are actually just bugs flying past the camera and they look like rods because they're too close to the camera (and thus out of focus). It's the same thing with a lot of ghost pictures. 30% of the time it's just someone's camera strap flopped in front of the thing. While I definitely believe that some UFOs could be piloted by aliens, I have a healthy amount of doubt when it comes to rods since people have been able to replicate rods almost exactly just by filming bugs. Also, agreed that the world would collapse due to panic and hysteria. There's actually an article on the NASA website saying that. I used to have it but my hard drive failed...so try google and you'll probably find it.
