Is this a real OBE or just me dreaming?

I just tried to have a WILD. Im new to LD and I have never had one before.

My body began to freeze up and I heard buzzing noises and water droplets. I got abit scared but I calmed down because I had read the great advise on this forum on what to do. I opened (what I thought) my real eyes for a split second and when I closed them I was floating next to a staircase above the clouds. I was floating higher and higher and I couldnt stop. After a few minutes I began to drop slowly and I found myself outside my window. I opened to window and climbed in.
I could see myself sleeping! I then suddenly went back into my real body and I could see a figure standing next to my window but my eyes werent open. I was dreaming it (i think). I then kept goin back and forth between my OBE and my body. I walked next to my sleeping body and looked closely at myself in awe. This felt so wierd but not real. I was wishing for this image to become so real like it was actually happening.
I then went back to my normal body and I felt awake, but my eyes closed and it felt like someone was looking at me and very close. I thought I heard footsteps towards my window and when I opened my eyes no-one was there.
It didnt feel like a LD or OBE but I couldnt really control it or stop it.

There is a fine line between an OBE and a dream. Usually in an OBE you have much, much more concious mind. It doesn't *feel* like a dream.

I think it may have quite possibly been both. Perhaps you were floating in and out of a LD and OBE. This is often how one begins to OBE and astral project. You have fleeting periods of consciousness while projecting or OBEing. As your mind becomes accustomed to the transition and overall experience, you're likely to experience longer and longer periods of consciousness.
      Ask and you shall know.

While you were having this expierence, did you ask yourself if you were dreaming? If so, what happend?
"The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: his eyes are closed."
      - Albert Einstein
"We're so engaged in doing things to achieve purposes of outer value that we forget the inner value, the rapture that is associated with being alive, is what it is all about."
      -Joseph Campbell
"He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would fully suffice. This disgrace to civilisation should be done away with at once. Heroism at command, senseless brutality, deplorable love-of-country stance, how violently I hate all this, how despicable and ignoble war is; I would rather be torn to shreds than be part of so base an action! It is my conviction that killing under the cloak of war is nothing but an act of murder."

I did ask myself if I was dreaming but only once or twice. The dream continued and I was unable to control it. Thats what made me think it was an LD but it felt like a normal dream.
There were no other thoughts in my head, it was like it was really happening but in the past and I was remembering it.
