This is a question I've asked myself as well. Except more along the lines of "does doing bad things to dream characters have a negative effect on your mental state?" I don't imagine it does, as if one already has the propensity to hurt dream characters then one would probably not get any worse by doing so. As far as karma is concerned, if the people are simply manifestations of your subconscious then you wouldn't really be doing anything to hurt your karma. I'm interested to hear other people's opinions. |

When I first read this thread, uTklw, I just assumed you meant killing innocent dream people for pleasure (and maybe you do which is fine, not here to judge), but looking at it again I realize you did not specify. If you are killing people who are trying to kill you, for example becoming lucid during a nightmare, I'd consider it a healthy exercise as these characters probably represent something your subconscious is struggling with. I've had considerably less nightmares since I've learned to LD. |
