Thread: A glimpse into the future

First off, let me explain that I have NEVER had a dream like this before or after this .. event. It was very apocalyptic and showed me what I truly believe to be a glimpse into what could be an incredibly scary and depressing future. First off, let me explain that I was never into sci-fi before I had this dream, I was 16 years old and it was after the first night of work on my first job (Maybe stress-related?). In any case, I went to sleep normally, and I had a normal, boring, forgettable dream. I was riding my bike down the road in Nashville, where I grew up, and I saw my old house. I went inside my house, and a whole bunch of memories flooded my brain from when I used to live in Nashville. The tornado, ripping up my house with me in it when I was 10 and home alone... my childhood friends, etc. Then as I went into my room I noticed something shiny and golden and very clear, as if it was plucked from the real world and put into my dreams, which are normally hazy. It looked like it didn't belong there. So I picked it up and looked at it. It was one of those "alien abduction questionnaires" but printed on this ridiculously shiny (it looked like gold) paper. As I read the questions on the page ("have you ever seen a strange light in the sky", etc.) I started to hear a very disturbing tortured scream... It literally sounded like someone was being tortured to death, and then as I kept reading, it kept getting louder and louder with each question, until....
The Last Question:
Do you have, or have ever had, an intense, unnatural fear of EYES

And as I read the word "eyes" in all capital letters, something triggered, and All of a sudden the tortured scream was deafeningly loud, and I saw this hideous pair of reptilian alien eyes, just watching me, and those eyes triggered within me the most WRENCHING PARALYZING TERROR that i have ever felt in my entire life. Like Medusa, its gaze turned me to "stone" and I was so terrified that I couldn't move. Then I blacked out and when I came to, i was in an abandoned mall in some clothing store. I was older with a streak of gray in my hair. I was hiding from a group of similar, but decidedly more human looking. (Note from writer: You know how when you shave a cat, you can see all the musculature underneath the fur and how there is almost no fat at all on the cat's body? They looked like that, except with elongated human features, ridiculously tall, and their skin was stark white.... not to mention their faces.) I was also for some reason able to hear their "commands". By this I mean I "felt" this pulsating "message" to HUNT. For me. So I knew where they were, and I could sort of hide myself from their senses, like putting a brick wall around myself.So i ran out of my hiding spot and into one of those circular shirt racks. Well I let down my "brick wall" for a minute and one of them sensed me. I put the wall back up, and as I did, one of the things stuck it's face through the shirt rack, and had a shirt over it's face. It's like it didn't even see the shirt or notice it was there. I could see it's eyes blinking from underneath the shirt... it was quite creepy. Then it pulled back, and walked away. I decided that was way too close a call, and made a run for it. I thought it was clear, but as I turned the corner, one of them grabbed me by the neck (illustration) and "screamed" HUNT really loud. I realized that I was no match for it physically , and it was dangling me in the air with one arm. (this is the part where it gets really weird....lol!) I start to hear that same screaming again. The tortured scream from before... I see the eyes again, feel the same rush of terror, and wake up. BUT I STILL HEAR THE SCREAMING..... And then I realized the one who was screaming was me.

THEN, I noticed in the corner of my room, a weird pulsating shadow orb. That is the only way to describe it. A pulsating shadow orb. I screamed at it to go away, and it disappeared into nothingness. I didn't go back to sleep and stayed up the whole night.

Weird dream.... huh? I'm 21 now and I can remember everything step for step like it happened yesterday and it still brings chills down my spine just typing it...

Probably a dream showing you how your life has been so far in some weird way..

Yeah that is a pretty freaky dream, I wish I had more like that.

i dont think it was a glimpse of your future. but if it was, some say you can change your destiny, some say if you try to change it, it will only happen quicker.
