Reading minds and how to be protected

Well this whole mind reading/television whatever powers thing has recently become a really popular thing at my school... Its not like its a bad thing, but still..

The thing is, i dont feel very safe going to a place, or even knowing a mass number of people who either claim to or actually have these alleged "powers". I am still questioning whether these are real or not, but id rather be safe than sorry.

Its like the aim thing... i didnt feel very safe on aim because people could warn me (especially my enemies posing as other people) which leads to limited use of aim. This is entirely NOT fun... so i messed with aim for a while and now i am unwarnable. Haha.

I would like to try that with, say.. the mind. Be unhackable. Be one with a defense system. Protected. Stop em... with a schlong... er... excuse me... a schlade! or... a shield!

Well i came across some articles on shielding in psipog, and ive only read like half of one... its pretty interesting and such but well yeah.

If anybody knows any more on how to be protected and such then please post in this thread.

What I used to do when I was 14 or 15 and worried about these things, was to picture my mind as a big space, and in that space picture an excited gorilla, and let the word "monkey monkey monkey monkey" echo through my brain while picturing the gorilla running around and going nuts. Of course, this is just the image that came to me as I thought, "Maybe I should throw up a shield in case anyone here is reading minds." I suspect that if anyone was reading minds, and they discovered that the only thing on my mind was a crazy gorilla, then they would move on to the next mind.
If you have a sense of caring for others, you will manifest a kind of inner strength in spite of your own difficulties and problems. With this strength, your own problems will seem less significant and bothersome to you. By going beyond your own problems and taking care of others, you gain inner strength, self-confidence, courage, and a greater sense of calm.Dalai Lama

I have must a very good shield. My maths teacher never figures out that I haven't actually done my homework, I'm just pretending to mark it when there's nothing there.

      Crazy gorilla: heh.

Just do what psipog says. If you are more advanced then them, they probley won't be able to "hack" your mind.

uhh... you know, there is a possiblility that people aren't reading your minds. You could just be very paranoid and think that. I get those feelings sometimes. It feels like Everyone can hear my mind. But I'm sure it's a psychological thing.

that sucks. I'd hate to be in your school. No privacy, then. Try the shielding technique. If you can make a psibaLl, shielding is easy

You dont actulay have to have psi powers to read somones mind. You give more than you would think away through body language and how you say things :-)

True Turkey, on an emotional level yes but you wont guess a 6 digits
random number right that way in almost all cases.

You would have to send a telepathic message to them for them to hear your thoughts, I would think. Theres only one way I have heard of to read someones mind, and I doubt they know how.

no, it' scalled empathy. I read it in the wingmaker's site. You can read other people's mind, but the bad part is you can become suicidal reading poeples minds

You could just yell "Get out of my head!!!" really loud...

I honestly wouldn't worry too much about it. I've always been very in touch with my telepathic abilities and it works two ways. One is through body language and facial expressions and the other is through actual thoughts that have been projected out by the person. (Come on you guys, you know to me everything is energy.) Anyway in those cases of actual thought projection receptivity happens inconsistently or sporadically. And the thought is usually projected or propelled outwards by emotion(s). I've never picked up actual digits and things of that nature, and I've been doing this a long time. I'm not saying it's not possible, but aside from perhaps the rare person born at birth with such an ability, it would take a very long time and alot of discipline to master that technique at such a high rate of proficiency.

I've also noticed that people who try such abilities because it's cool, to show off, or for self gain, often aren't very good receptors. Of course this is just based on my experience, and those others have shared with me.
      Ask and you shall know.

      mind reading

I've found that the best way to protect myself when empathizing with another is to realize that there is just One Mind and to speak to the other person as if I'm speaking to myself.

I personally think its not truely possible for 99,999% of the human population to read exact thoughts and dig and "hack" into somebodies brain to get like a certain number/password, so I wouldnt worry about it too much. And if you by a chance would meet that person I doubt he/she would be interested in it.
