Question Easiest Way to Astral Project

Had about 5 lucid dreams so far, wondering if I should start on APing and what is the easiest technique.

AP is in no way easy. It takes a cultivation of skills to purposely stimulate and duplicate the energy body to project. Once you successfully project, you have to master remembering or "downloading" the projection or you will have no recollection whatsoever. There is no 1 hit technique to project, it's something you want to take seriously and learn everything about before you do it. Otherwise, you're setting yourself up for failure. It's in no way as simple as you think it is. If you're serious about it, I've done the work for you and have narrowed down the best books:

If you are a person who has no experience and needs things step by step, day by day, and likes lessons in a time frame with goal oriented work, get:

If you are self disciplined, like to work on your own time and set your own standards, have experience with stillness/meditation/body awareness, or want a full picture at AP get:

the books suggested above are very useful, but even after reading them you may not be able to project. alternatively you may project one of the first times you try. I think your mind knows when you have reached a level of developement where astral travel will benefit you. untill then you are locked out in a sense.. one of the first times i tried i suddenly found my body engulfed in vibrations and strange humming sounds as my soul felt like it was rising out of me like a ballon. to be honest at the the time it terrified me and i think my mind realised i was not ready because to this day i have not been able to reach that point again. with dedication and dilligent meditation practice though, im sure anyone can learn.

I think I've astral projected before. I usually become lucid in a dream, and then tell myself to "let go." I feel light and airy, and a breeze surrounds my entire body. I also feel vibrations from head-to-toe. I think I've only made it to the astral realm because the environment didn't quite seem real. During the whole thing I know without a doubt that it's real. I only start to question it when I wake up.

It really wasn't hard for me but I still wonder if it was real or not, especially since dtrevinofl makes it sound so difficult. It could have been a dream, but I've also come close to APing from a waking state. It could have also been my mind displaying what I'd read about vibrations, but I never read anything about a breeze. Who knows...

I mostly AP through sleep paralysis. During SP, when I begin to feel the 'presence' in the room, I focus all of my thoughts of leaping out of my body off the front of the bed. It is important to NEVER be scared when you feel the presence, its better to yield to it because otherwise you will snap out of it and just wake up. I usually AP only for a short period followed by an intense lucid dream. I think that the experience is more lucid that AP-like.

In my experience, whenever I try to fight the SP, I always wake up very frightened. Lately, whenever I am lucky enough to have an epiosode of SP, I have been yielding to the SP and find that the 'presence' latches on to some part of my exposed body and pulls me in circles, like I'm being caught or spun in a web. This sensation happens every time I let SP overpower me and if I focus all my mind on leaping out of my body, I end up in a lucid dream, but I call it a pseudo-AP because I always start out the dream from within my bedroom and the hallway outside my door leads to different 'planes'.
