      Just a theory..... thoughts?

Is it possible that the DCs we see in our dreams are actually real people in thier dream bodies?

I started thinking about this because just last week I had two LDs and there were huge amounts of people. One was in a casino/neighbors house and the other was in a mall type office building. I'm talking a lot of people. They were all rushing around and I didn't have much contact with them. I used these two environments as a training ground for my LD. After waking I began to think that with the millions upon millions of people in the world, is it possible that we ever cross each other in dreams??? I know this has been discussed but now it seems that it could be true. The people I saw were faces I did not recognize and they were all moving together so fast, like in thier own worlds. I also thought that since I was in a lucid which is another level of dreaming, perhaps you can connect with people on another level..... I don't know just some food for thought.

If so then apparently tons of other people manage to look and act exactly like people I know, since no one I know has ever shared a dream with me, at least not knowingly. Unless everyone appears differently viewed by others or oneself...

I doubt there's a way to effectively test this "theory," but it's fun to think about.

i think it's possible but kind of unlikely. I mean, not everyone remembers every dream they had right? We could be in each other's dreams occasionally but forget about it later. Though, if there was one consistent dream world with everyone in each other's dreams, I think it would be likely that we'd all have realised by now. DCs often don't seem to be very logical, but that could be that people in a dream state aren't too logical? Or it could just mean that DCs are in fact just our imagination...

I think it would be awesome if everyone was in their dream bodies within our dreams but I think it's a little unlikely. Maybe if a few people start to achieve better lucidity and are in each other's dreams, they can test whether or not it actually is the other person?

I think those sorts of tests have been done before though and I'm guessing the answer was no. Anyone know of any experiments done on this?

No, unless people look like my friends in my dreams, like to get orders from me and dream about places I go to, and things that I do.

Well I guess I don't exactly mean the DCs we have interactions with but the ones that we don't interact with. Like I said earlier I have had two recent dreams with crowds of people in them, with a lot of faces I've never seen, so that is what made me think perhaps our dream bodies can cross other's dream bodies.... Some believe that our "soul bodies" will all unite in a heaven or a hell so maybe it is kind of the same thing........

I think there's something similar to this called Dream Sharing, or something along the lines. I think it could maybe be possible, but not as easily as you make it seem.

I think shared dreaming is a myth.
99,99% of stories telling about it are either induced by talking about it/shared incidents in the past, both of wich would leave an impression in the subconscious or are simply fake.
The remaining 0,01% are just plain coincidence.
Well at least that is my opinion.
As always, our subconscious is far more powerful than most of us can imagine.
