Either a meditative experience or a hallucination of a sort? Or a "waking dream" (dream carried over from the dream state to the waking state). |

I'm really not sure if this was just a strange dream-like state I had upon waking or something else. |

Were you paralysed while that happened? You could have bene experiencing sleep paralysis. |

- Are you an idiot?
- No sir, I'm a dreamer.
You've seen a glimpse of the dreamworld while awake. Since I got into WILDing I can dream with my eyes open, I've had similar experiences like you. Imo, we all subconsciously dream all the time even while awake, if you go into a deep enough trance, or if you are sitll groggy from sleeping, you can see into these dreams. |

Isn't that just hypnopompic imagery? |

Yes! After joining this site I stumbled across this the other day and was so excited to have found a name for it! I was thinking a hypnagogic hallcination, but I guess hypnopompic is correct (isn't that coming out of sleep rather then into?) It was so vivid and real, I thought I was losing it at first. LOL |
