Yeah, spairearhrke, that's very true and from what I'm hearing here, it sounds like she has completely spoiled her reputation. I would like to meet her one day, though, to see for sure what I get from her. I'm sure that deep down there's the genuine, gifted psychic that she started out as...

Wow she is amazing, predicting the outcome of a presidential election, when the worst odds you can get are about 50/50, then if you watched any news at all, you knew darn well that Bush was going to win. I don't consider that kind of prediction to be any kind of psychic ability whatsoever. She just predicted the obvious., like predicting the Pope would die. (I can't think of anyone who isn't going to die sometime). BTW, she at first predicted Kerry would when, but when preliminary poles were coming in, her prediction mysteriously dissappeared from her website.

      fraud

I paid 400 dollars with a reading with sylvia brownes son and he was wrong about absolutley everything he told me. He claims to have the same insight as his mother and she says the same thing about him. I will never do that again. He was not right about one thing. It was crazy. People should know the truth about him because he is scamming people people out of 400 dollars. I have proof, the tape he sent me of our phone call and the events that did not happen in my life.

I didn't read through the 8 pages of replies, maybe I should have, and I don't know if this has already been said or not, but here goes:

I picked up a book by Sylvia a few days ago from the Fremantle Library (Confessions of a Psychic). I got halfway through it and couldn't stand it anymore.

I don't know if she's a fake. Maybe she DOES have talent for what she does. What I hated about the book is that she constantly repeats that she is one of the 'chosen ones'. That she is somehow above everyone else when it comes to psychic ability. Ok, maybe she does have more talent than a lot of people. That I could believe. But she drills it into the reader's head that she and only she can do what she does. She insists that 'God' made her psychic and that it is her 'duty' to help those millions of people who weren't born with the 'ability to see into the future' and who will never be able to do it themselves.

It also angered me partly because in some chapters the word 'God' was repeated in every other line. That's a personal thing though. I have nothing against Christians, but it felt as if she was constantly drilling Christianity into me.

There was lots of other comments that I could be making right now, but I don't want to turn this into a bigger rant than it is now ( I actually marked the pages in the book that made me laugh at her the most. I was seriously considering e-mailing her with three pages that are similar to what I posted above.)

      Ok I'm done now o_0

      Hello,

I have met this woman and spent 10 days with her on a cruise through ports near Egypt. She had organized the trip for her "followers." I am not one of those, but at the time, my Aunt was - and she asked me to attend with her, as I travel for a living.

I was impressed to a certain extent the first few days of the trip, as she seemed down to earth / genuine. But, as the excursion progressed, I became wary. I wish I knew why, as she hadn't done anything suspicious. Yet, it was my instinct.

On the very last day of the cruise, my Aunt asked Silvia (without my knowing) to Read for me. Later that night, she did. It was quick - less than 5 minutes. But, what she said was completely and thoroughly off mark.

She started by asking me if I had any questions. The only thing I could think to ask was "What happened to my mother? I'm not sure how she passed away." My mother had died in 1982 of ovarian cancer. But, later reports during a medical malpractice suit revealed that she did not have cancer. So, our family had never come to terms with what had truly been the cause of her death.

Silvia's answer to me was "It wasn't the fire. It was the smoke honey. She was gone before the flames hit the top floor," and then kept going on and on about a housefire caused by wiring and that I should contact the building contractor and considering filing suit against him because he'd been under investigation before....and that I was being told (by my mother) to make sure what happened to her (my mother) never happened to another individual. All I could do is nod my head...and finally and most surprisingly of all, I actually thanked her.

So, based on my experience alone, I think she is a kind person overall, but she was completely off. Oh, I almost forgot. She also told me that I should travel more. That doesn't sound like much, but I've been a flight attendant for nearly 15 years and I travel constantly.

      >>FAKE!!

I personally find it hard to believe that there is anyone alive today who can actually predict the future, but some of the predictions I read on the first page.... well...

      5. Separate body parts cloned for organ transplants; not an entire body.
Um, look at any modern science magazine. Guess where that prediction was stolen from.

      12. New exercise equipment that you sit or stand in, and it literally stimulates your muscles with electricity to achieve the same effect as physical exercise.
Been done, just not one that you stand in that I know of. I saw a whole show on it. Fascinating stuff, really.

      22. Medicine in pill form goes away; instead we have air-injected delivery through the skin.
      Ever watch Star Trek?

      40. Aliens will begin to show themselves in the year 2010, they will not harm us, they simply want to see what we are doing to this planet. They will teach us how to use anti-gravity devices again, such as they did for the pyramids.
What if the pyramids were built by... oh I don't know... The Egyptians, maybe?

That's just a few, but man...

      I don't believe a word.

As well, As far as predicting people's futures individually, these people just have a gift for reading people well. They make educated guesses in vague terms, so you think, "Oh, that must mean this!" and thusly you're amazed.

What the f_ck, why did you thank her? That's the worst possible reaction ever. I would have probably kicked her in the face and thrown her off the ship. What a lousy bitch. Why does she deserve a 8 paged thread? Jesus Christ.

To quote the device's summary from ST.com \"Common Starfleet medical implement used to deliver medication to a patient subcutaneously by using an extremely fine, high-pressure aerosuspension delivery system. Hypospray technology is more hygienic in that it eliminates the need for a needle to physically penetrate the skin.\" (http://www.startrek.com/startrek/view/libr...ticle/3276.html)

I know a college girl who got tickets to see John Edward, private reading, in some popular New York City building. She went to see what Edward would say, and the fact that she thinks he's hot.

She came back home very happy. Apparently Edward hit the nail on the head many times, including predicting events that will happen in the future for her. I've also read John Edward's book 'One Last Time' just the other weekened, and him being a real person is the least thing I got from it. He seems very down-to-earth and logical, especially for a person who says spirits put messages in his mind and body. In addition, he gives psychic techniques to try at the end of the book.

As for Sylvia Browne, she seems to be a real psychic. She only has a mountain of books out on the subject of the afterlife/Other Side. I can't picture a person making all of that up just for money.
