I have had two experiances with dreamscaping.
Both were with my closest friends, and the first might not even be considered dreamscaping. I/ had a long dream one night (one that was not at all lucid) and in one part of the mixed up adventure i was the star of, I tried to help a giant duck, and failed. I died. I then went back, tried again, and... i dont really remember what happened the second time.
The next night, my friend had a dream. Her dream was wierd enough. She was walking down a hallway, and there were alot of doors, each with a plaque outside with a person's name, and a date. When she opened the doors, there were scenes from dreams going on inside them, dreams that people had told her about. When she had been walking for a while, htere was a door with my name on it, and when she opened it, i was there standing in front of a duck... a very angry duck.
I am not sure of wether or not her dream was lucid, but i know mine was not.
My second experiance was just a few nights ago.
I had a mixed up dream, in which i was lucid. The dream had a wierd feeling, as i kept waking up from one dream into another dream, and had to keep on becoming lucid again. Most of the dreams i awoke into were the same scene, i was on a train with a bunch of annoying people, but the last dream i awoke into was quiete different. I was on a beach with alot of people, and i saw that in this crowd of people i saaw my friend. We talked for a while, and she gave me a codeword that i should mention to her so we could remember the dream. Upon awakening, i forgot the codeword, but contacted her anyway. She couldn't remember her dream, but when i asked her if i was in it, and if she was on a beach, she answered that yes, those things were true.
Both of these times the dream had a certain... unexplainable feeling.
So in answer to your question... i have no idea.
But i thout that sharing my expleriances might provide an answer.... of a sort
