Very cool dream, Kahleb! DC advice is often sticky: a lot of times DCs will lie, or try to distract or stop you from a goal, or pretend to help when they are actually just wasting time. One of the theories is that they are just projections of our own self-doubt. So the girl who said she did not like you may have been a projection of your own sense of worth (at least in the sexual arena) or perhaps you just expected her (on some level) to tell you no.

On the other hand, DCs can say some very profound and life-changing things. I think the Asian man's advice is very interesting; often when we allow a lucid dream to "play out," very profound or at least very interesting things occur. It's cool that you're practicing your dream control though! Congrats on the lucid!
