I agree, I recommend relaxing there for a minute or so or however long it takes to fully get a summary of the dream in your mind, if you don't remember exactly what happens it helps first observe the feeling you have when you first wake up and follow that feeling. If you woke up disturbed, think, what happened that disturbed me? Or if you woke up in a good mood, what happened in your dream that made you happy? Follow that emotion and it will likely lead to further details. Think of faces and characters of people. Were they in your dream? Or start a chain of words and random thoughts (like those games in which one says a word and the other replies with the first word that comes to mind) and think of associations to those words. Maybe you had a dream at the beach, and once you come across the word "sand" in your mind it strikes a chord and you remember. It's definitely tough to deal with and I know what you're going through. Keep up with your efforts, and you will reap the rewards soon enough. Good luck & happy dreaming!

Could be a slump, it happens to me too. Are you going straight for the DJ or laying down for a while? I find that even though I'm going to write it down shortly, it really helps if I just relax and remember all I can before moving. Once I move a lot of stuff gets lost.
