non-lucid

Initially, I can tell my perception of myself has been altered. In real life, I'm a 20 year old Caucasian woman. In my dream, I was a small Hispanic child of around nine years old. I go to visit my mother. When I arrive at what is supposedly her house, it seems as if I am in Mexico.

Things at her house keep giving me a weird vibe. There are men that keep watching me, and they always make sure they are in the same room as me. I can't figure out why they seem so weird to me, so I decide to go to the bathroom to clear my head. It's the one place I am safe. As soon as I am alone, I realize that I need to get away from them or things will not end up well for me. I seize what seems like my only opportunity and climb from a window, using the toilet to get out.

As soon as I climb through the window, it's obvious I am no longer in the desert-like place that I was. I'm in a neighborhood with lots of grass and houses. I run towards the first house I see with the door open and a car in the driveway. I knock on the door as hard as I can, and a woman opens the door. I tell her I'm being followed and ask if I can come in. She lets me in and immediately shuts and locks the door behind her. I tell her everything and she tells me to go into the room with her son, as she was going to get help. She picks up the phone and walks to the kitchen and I start playing with her son in her bedroom.

Not even a minute after I calmed myself down, I hear a knock on the door and can hear one of the men that was following me. He lies to the woman that I am his daughter and that I was upset about something childish and I need to come home. She lies and says I'm not there. He tells her that he will give her $1000 dollars for her to give me up and pretend I was never there. I don't know where she goes, but suddenly I hear him coming down the hallway to her room. I try to find a place to hide, but I can't. I'm stuck.

He lunges towards me smiling very big, and then I wake up.
