Fate

I start off being in what I assume is a hospital, though it smells sort of like chlorine and looks more like a cell block. I'm somewhere in a lobby when my sister, the mother of my late nephew, walks up to me and gives me a set of instructions. I am to put on scrubs as if I'm about to participate in a surgery, and to meet her in a room that she gave me the number of. After I do what she has told me, I walk into the room. The entire room is very large and separated by a white curtain. On my half of the curtain there is absolutely nothing except for the walls and the door. However, when I walk past the curtain I see several hospital instruments, my sister, and a metal gurney with my nephew laying on it.

My sister tells me that the whole time my nephew was alive, he just needed a special sort of pacemaker to make sure he stayed that way. Even 3 months after his death, she told nobody because they had already had the funeral and burial and that she did not want to frighten anybody. He then looks at me and smiles and tells me how much he's missed me. Just as I start to cry in my dream, I wake up.
