My partner (let's call him P) is sitting on a train with a random character from 'Harry Potter.' (We'll call her D.) I can see the dream as if I were looking through the window of the train at his side for the first part. At first, they seem to be taking a relaxing trip on a winding track through the countryside, P is relaxed and smiling as his journey companion chatters away with enthusiasm. Then, D informs P that she thinks he needs to express himself more boisterously (seeing as that his usual countenance is gentle, nurturing and calm.) Somehow, D then has him singing opera and jigging about on the train, which makes him feel very embarrassed and foolish.

When he comes home, I ask P whether he enjoyed his trip, and half smiling, he puts a video tape in our ancient-looking TV and shows me the events of the train journey. I place my hand on his shoulder, whilst trying to weigh up the appropriate response, I know the event made him feel uncomfortable, but I want him to know that I would fully support him if he wanted to either keep his usual behaviour, or adopt a more outlandish persona.)

When the tape is finished, he forces a laugh and draws me closer to him. I hug him, and he tells me how he thinks D's a little too forthright, and how he would be scared to spend too much time with her, so if I were worried, (I wasn't, she's a book character ) I should cast my fears aside.
