    First Intentional Lucid Dream/Simulated OOBE?

So last night, after watching copious amounts of the anime "Bleach" and doing some work for a cilent, I decided to unwind with a hot shower. I really planned out things carefully. A scented candle, a stool to sit and relax on after doing the mundane task of cleaning up >_>.

I was really at a happy place by the time I decided I'd pruned up enough. I told myself "today is the day for a Lucid Dream or OOBE" if ever there was one because I seldom feel this relaxed. Went to my bedroom, got dressed and curled up in bed. I started to remind myself that I have to wake up around 4am for this to work right and that the next scenes I would encounter would be dreams.

I tried to visualize a door into Hogwarts (a frequent dream sign of mine) and pull on it while all the hypnagogic imagery began, but I was really too tired and I drifted off to la la land. I can't recall that dream session.

The next thing I remember was waking up at 4:30am. I did reality checks before getting out of bed, and then got up to visit the washroom. I returned and decided I'd go onto Facebook with my phone and reply to my e-mail. I told a friend that I programmed my mind to wake up at a specific time and it didn't turn out too shabby. That alone gave me some courage that I was doing things right and my state of mind was good for this work. I told him I was going to attempt gaining lucidity and then shut off the phone and lay on my back...

I started doing the WILD induction and I started to feel some symptoms of paralysis but nothing too pronounced. I got some Hypnagogic Imagery which I tried to "step into" but they kept dissolving. I kept in a very positive frame of mind reminding myself that even if this didn't work, I'd get to enjoy some more pleasurable hours of sleep. So, after approx. 10 minutes, I turned over on my side. I tried repeating the steps again on my side but I felt too uncentered. I then turn over again now with my face to the pillow and tried it this time...

IMMEDIATE change! Everything felt much stronger and for the first time I experienced those ridiculously violent vibrations. I felt like someone took a jackhammer to my bed and I was surprised I didn't spaz out because I was very much concious at this point, but I kept still and rode it out.

The next thing I knew, my perspective was flipped. I felt like I was on my back clutching the sheets of the bed with my hands frantically. I calmed down and imagined floating. I heard a female voice almost like a flight attendant telling me to concentrate on the next scene. The next scene was very random... A display in a pharmacy window! I was focusing on some product in a glass bottle with blue and white label. It kept coming in and out of focus, but eventually I got it in focus. Then, I found myself zooming in on the world in a very "Google Maps" fashion and found myself in my house.

It seemed very dark and murky. I am in fact near-sighted, so I assumed at first that I'd woken up and and gone into the kitchen. I headed for a cupboard to mix myself some milk (a thought I had toyed with before bed, but decided it was best I go to bed with my stomach empty). At that point I realized something was wrong. This could not be reality because we're re-modelling the kitchen and those cupboards were destroyed. I immediately got into somewhat of a panic. Was I lucid? Was I outside of my body? For some reason or the other I headed into the breakfast room (which has an exit there) and came across the figure of Urahara Kisuke (an anime character from the show I've been polluting my mind with recently). He seemed to emanate a calm to me and I settled down. I remember distinctly that he was wearing his black cloak (

In this newly calm state of mind, I decided to visit my bedroom to make a reality check of this again. Things were so murky and strange, but I immediately slipped from the kitchen to my bedroom with that thought. I found myself in my bedroom standing by the doorway (The door in reality was closed). I could barely see in the room, so I decided to flip the switch. That didn't work. So I put out a command: "Give me clarity.", and the room began to glow with a very moonlit atmosphere. I saw my body there laying on the bed as I'd been, and saw my mother, wrapped in a white garment come into the room and lay down next to me saying something I could not make out.

At that point I woke up and quickly checked to see whether I was awake. Hand check...clear. Nose check...clear. I flipped on my back and looked around for my mother. She wasn't there and the door was still closed. I was in SHEER euphoria at the experience now. Don't think I've been that excited in years. I updated my friend via Facebook on what I'd achieved and put the details of the dream/OOBE so I would have a reference with which to write this dream diary entry.

I went back to sleep with a smile on my face. It was 6am.
