    In transit

Unfortunately, I have been slacking with my discipline and efforts to have lucid dreams and therefore didn't just have no lucid dreams in a long time, but even started forgetting my non-lucid dreams again. This morning, however, I woke up and remembered this dream:

Standing in our newly purchased manufactured home with my wife and some other people (In my dream it was only about a third as wide as in real life and a lot more mobile home like), I was on the phone with someone when suddenly the whole house jolted. My first reaction was "What the hell is going on?" and looked out the window as the whole house started rolling. I saw it hitched to something and remembered "right. it is a mobile home after all, but why are we being towed?

Being that I had been talking on a more traditional land line phone, I tried to figure out if the phone still worked, but it didn't. I had been disconnected. The telephone line was also rather loose, so I started pulling it to see why. I pulled and pulled and found a backpack on the other end which looked like a construction-site phone-in-a-backpack with several buttons on it. The blinkythingies it seemed to have were dark so I figured it had run out of battery.

Looking up again, I found myself in a train of sorts. I guess my house decided that it if was moving, it might as well transform into something that did it properly. There were other people in the train, too. We stopped, the door opened, and something I had dropped, something small, cylindrical, started rolling towards the open door, and someone was nice enough to kick it back to me to keep it from rolling out of the train. I picked it up. My wife decided to go investigating what happened to our house and walked towards a staircase descending into the floor of the train as we started rolling again. I ventured on to find some answers on this level. I quickly reached the end of the train and sat down. An ugly girl appeared behind the sliding door of the end of the wagon and hesitated to come in. Maybe because I didnt invite her in. After all, it was my house. So I nodded to her and she came in and sat down. She explained that because she's ugle, she is used to not being welcome everywhere.

Eventually, we reached a train station somewhere in the city and got out. Neither of us were familiar with the place but decided to find our destination together. Our journey first lead through some darker garages of sorts and then alongside the masonry structure around a cathedral. On the far side of the cathedral, going down the hill, a group of people, quite a fuzz, stormed the other way. Amongst them were a few policemen and women. I tried to get the policewoman's attention but she just sprayed me with something in excitement. Upon seeing my dumbfounded reaction, she just said that's what the police do when there's a tumult.

Accepting that I was going to get any help from her, I walked on. The end of the hill lead to a street and I turned and followed the sidewalk. The girl which accompanied me had turned into my niece from Colorado and suddenly, the place didnt seem so strange anymore. It was her home town. I noticed there were a lot of broken light bulbs on the ground. They were all over the place, like it was the colorado version of the occasional piece of litter on the street. I had already stepped on a few small ones, breaking them under my shoes and my cousin commented that here in Colorado, they didnt have recycling programs for light bulbs and people didnt know what to do with them.

    Thats all I remember.
