I had a dream last night that was kind of nightmarish. My coworkers Dan, Dustin, and I were all giants; like Gulliver's Travels size, so that as we waded through the ocean the waves lapped up against our knees. We were wading our way down towards Antarctica. Why? When you're that tall, why not? We got to the south pole, and from my perspective, the entirety of the Antarctic continent was about the size of an extra large pizza with a conical shaped mountain in the center. We stood around it, gawking and joking about how small it was in person. For some odd reason, I remember dipping my finger into the waters just offshore of the continent and schools of tuna would swarm around it. They would disperse and reconvene as I raised and dipped my finger, so I did it for a little bit out of amusement. I turned my attention back to the continent, and the was a yellow mamba snake coiled around the mountain wearing a yellow cloth hood (?). Dan and Dustin encouraged me to grab it and toss it, but I was so terrified I couldn't move (actually sleep paralysis). I tried to back away from the snake, worried it would turn around and strike, but I literally could not move because my body was still in sleep paralysis. Eventually my bod came to and in turn I awoke from the dream. Snake averted!
A group of friends and I had just walked out of a convention center after attending a non-specific event, when I decided to hop up into a cross-legged position and levitate in mid air. It was as simple as that! The group I was with watched in amazement as I effortlessly floated through the air, accompanied by a low-hum levitation noise. I floated towards a crosswalk and had to stop and wait for the "walk" sign to turn green, and noticed I was starting to bump and scrape the ground. Keeping the levitation going was a lot easier while mobile for some reason. The sign turned green and I scooted right along like some futuristic hover car from 'The Jetsons.' On the other end of the crosswalk I came out into a wide, empty parking lot. It was here where I decided i wanted to pick up speed and fly. For a second a fear of falling out of the air and dying crossed my mind, but then I remembered I was in a dream and started to pick up speed. It's such an amazing sensation, feeling the air rush past your body, feeling the acceleration of some invisible force push you faster and faster! As I picked up speed, I started to unfold my body out into a superman formation and lift into the sky. Unfortunately, I only went a short distance before waking up. It sure was a refreshing way to wake up though!
Not last night, but the night before I had my first Lucid dream in what seems like forever! i was in a building with dim lighting which resembled the recording studio I work at. I was standing in one of the studios, and thought to myself: "Wow, this is boring... I'm in a dream, I should do whatever I want." I went lucid, walked towards a wall and managed to walk through it, which was an amazing feeling! I proceeded to walk through several walls, but after a while I decided I wanted to go outside. I walked towards a brick wall, which posed as the perimeter of the building. As I passed through it, the blinding light of day was so much so that it overcame me and I woke up
This dream started off with me walking through a shopping mall. As I was just strolling along, a girl standing out in front of a store walked up to me and said she needed my help. She was about my height, my age, had dirty blonde hair just below her shoulders and a slight New Zealand accent (which was totally hot). She was trying to explain her dilemma to me, not in a frantic manner, but rather cool and composed. It wasn't making sense to me for some reason, so I ended up telling her to just take me to the problem so I could see it for myself. We walked out into the parking lot and there was an airport shuttle van waiting there by the curb. I jokingly asked, "You're not going to kidnap me and rape me, are you?" She laughed and said "I like that, but no." (Liked the joke, not raping people haha) I appreciate a dark sense of humor here and there. We arrived at a dilapidated old building surrounded by a chain link vence. The vence had a wooden or tarp screen on the inside of it so you could not look beyond it. As we walked into the gate, the area opened up into a messy junkyard. Old rusted cars, discarded appliances, it was all there. For some reason I specifically remember seeing a green 90's Subaru Forester. We came to a dimly lit room where there were wide wooden planks running across one of the walls. The planks had markings and notches etched into them. The girl went up to them and ran a dry washcloth across the wood and music started to play! Right out of the wood! It was an electronic-indie type song... Which was ok... but the cool thing was that this chick somehow managed to record music directly onto wood. No speakers, nothing; You somehow plugged the microphones into the planks (I didn't get a look at the interface between the mics and planks), recorded, and just ran the cloth over the planks and the song would play. I was completely amazed and immediately started asking questions. Apparently she played all the instruments herself, recorded and mixed the entire thing. I grabbed the cloth and ran my hand across the etchings. The sound of the cloth sliding across the wood made the song sound like it had a phaser/flanger effect on it. I was in love. If there's one characteristic I find more attractive than anything, it's intelligence (humble intelligence at that). Smart, kind, gorgeous, New Zealand accent, inventing new recording mediums that defy the laws of physics, sign me up. Dammit dreams, why do you tease me!! I suddenly remembered that I had come here to help her out with something. She told me she actually didn't need help with anything, she just wanted to show her crazy "wood recording" to someone who would appreciate it. Radical.
This dream started out in the halls of the high school I graduated from. I was in my current body, not my high school body, so I was a lot more in shape and confident than I was back then. I was just dawdling about in the hall when a girl caught my eye. She was actually an inch or so taller than me, which is usually a turn off for me. She had a fit body, blue eyes, and short champagne blonde hair just above the shoulders. Usually I'm not attracted to the short, super light blonde hair either, but the way she was wearing it made it very appealing to me. I went up to her and started walking/talking with her down the hall. Her name was Eileen, a name I've barely ever heard in my life, but a pretty name none the less. We decided we should go drive around and hang out, and I was ballsy enough to put my arm around her as we exited the school. It was evening and we drove around for a while, talking. It's crazy how in depth dream characters can be and how much you can learn about them. She was a midwestern girl, same age as me, and had moved out here with her parents. She loved rock/alternative rock/folk/indie and was into climbing/hiking/skiing; all the same outdoor activities I was into. She was super nice and very down to earth. This is the cool part. We somehow made it into a house and she said something to the effect of "You haven't forgotten those promises you made to me, have you?" "Of course not," I said, "I have them all right here so I don't forget." I pulled out my phone (the same one I have in real life) and went to my notes. There was a page titled 'Promises Made to Eileen' with a short list jotted down below. I was confused on how the list got there, as I thought I was meeting this dream character for the first time. I then realized that this was not my first time meeting Eileen! I had a revelation that I had met her in a previous dream that I had now forgotten. She smiled at me, extremely happy in my remembrance of meeting her before. We shared a great kiss, said our goodbyes and then I woke up. This is one of the first times I've remembered a reoccurring character in a dream, and I must say I am very pleased with her. Now if only I could meet the real life version...
The setting was a vast snowy tundra with rolling hills and some scattered alpine forests. It was a blizzard out and my friend Derek and I were standing outside the gates of a large city. The city was very futuristic in design, with spiral and dome shaped buildings and large arcologies. it was cool though because the city was surrounded by a large ancient stone wall, like it'd been around for centuries, allowing society and technology to develop around the antiquity. So me and my buddy Derek were each riding a Covenant Ghost from the Halo series. We decided to race to another city across the plain and took off. He was in the lead for a while as we sped over the rolling tundra. I remember pulling ahead after launching off a steep cliff and over some pine trees, which made us neck and neck the remainder of the race. I ended up winning (probably because it was my dream haha), and shortly after my victory I woke up
I was in a car with a non-specific girl in the passenger seat. It was evening out and we were just talking, making small chat. I think at one point I asked her out and we made out for a little bit, but then for some reason we decided get out and walk around. We got out of the car and walked to what looked like the back loading dock of a department store. I found a cut in half cardboard box with a bunch of crushed up nacho cheese doritos in it. I was stoked and started munching them down, but the girl I was with was less than ecstatic haha. The scene suddenly changed and the both of us were in broad daylight, walking into a grocery store. This is where I started to go lucid. I still had the box of dorito bits in my hand, and I thought to myself: "this is stupid... Why don't I just spawn a myself fresh bag?" Who wants to eat loading dock doritos anyway? Haha! So, I focused hard and a new bag of nacho cheese doritos started to materialize into my hand. Unfortunately, as soon as the chips were fully manifested, I lost control and I felt my dream self crashing back into my body and jolting me awake, much like in my last lucid dream.
This dream started out in the parking lot of a 7-Eleven where I was hanging out with a group of kids I had gone to high school with. They weren’t specific people; all I knew is they were part of my high school “group” so to speak. It was evening and we were hanging out when someone had the bright idea to go check out an abandoned building across town (which in the dream was Burbank, California). For some reason it sounded like a good idea, so we all hopped in a car and drove away. After a 10 minute drive we arrived at the most ominous, dilapidated warehouse I had ever seen. I went in and walked up to the second floor only to realized that the group of people I had been with had vanished completely and that sunlight was spilling in through the dirty glass windows. “That’s strange,” I thought, “It was definitely just nighttime a second ago.” All of a sudden a feeling of anxiety and fear overwhelmed me. I could sense a bad presence in the building. Water that had been spread out in a thin layer over the floor seized up into thousands of stubby stalagmites jutting from the ground. They weren’t frozen in terms of temperature but frozen in terms of time. I thought: “This is stupid, why am I so scared? After all, this is MY dream... This is my dream.” Up until this point I was convinced that these events were actually happening because the dreamworld was so detailed and vivid. It looked and felt EXACTLY like real life. But now I understood! No wonder this dreamscape was so finely crafted and detailed, because I was fully conscious inside of it! In a normal dream experience, It’s as if your dream-self is extremely drunk: you’re not quite sure where you are, you can’t really control your actions, and you can only remember bits and pieces of what you were doing. When you’re fully conscious in a dream, you control EVERY action, think just as clearly as you do when you’re awake, and can observe and appreciate all aspects of the highly detailed environment your subconscious creates for you. It’s essentially being “awake” in your dreams, and that’s exactly what I was. So immediately I teleported to get out of the abandoned building and ended up materializing in front of the recording studio where I work. I walked in to see my bosses and coworkers laughing and having a good time. I said hi to them and made some idle chat before leaving. I had a dream to go enjoy and I wasn’t going to spend it at work! It was a beautiful sunny day in Burbank California as I walked down the street, enjoying the slight breeze and feeling the warm sun on my skin. I was still in shock and awe over how realistic and detailed this whole experience was. I walked for a good two blocks just relaxing and then the sky started to slowly oscillate between blue and green. I thought it looked neat so I decided to leave it be. After I got tired of walking I figured it’d be fun to try and fly, but as I launched off the ground the dream started to get fuzzy and destabilize. I knew I was starting to wake up so I concentrated as hard as I could to try and hold on to the dream, which worked. I was back on the ground on Burbank Blvd where I had taken off. I took off again, this time with much better results. I flew over Burbank and off through the mountains and eventually into a wide lush valley with a river running through it. Along the river banks were massive structures; huge orbs at least twice the Empire State Building in diameter. At their tops were patches of green lush trees with springs gushing out and down their sides and into the river. I flew around these for a while until the dream started to fade again! After propelling myself back into the dream a second time, I thought my dream destabilization might have something to do with the abandoned building I had visited earlier. I teleported there to a room on the upper floor. This time it was an abandoned farmhouse rather than a warehouse, but regardless of the building it was the same location. A figure came into the doorway. It was a little boy with deathly pale skin, dark hair, and blank piercing eyes that stared viciously. He looked like a male version of the girl from “The Grudge”. It had to be the source of whatever fear or anxiety was troubling me earlier. I didn’t even give him a second thought and immediately disintegrated him and erased him from the dream. Quit killin’ my vibe fool! I then decided it was time to fly again, so I passed through the window and started to take off. For a brief moment I got stuck under the awning of a porch, but fortunately I braced my legs against the side of the house and pushed off as hard as I could, breaking through the wooden planks that were holding me in. I flew around what looked like the American Pacific Northwest for a while, enjoying the fresh air and the wide open spaces. Eventually, I decided it was time to wake up and took a dive bomb. It felt like I had a “crash landing” back into my body as I felt my consciousness slam back into it at what felt like mach 10. This woke me up with quite a jolt and immediately I opened up the laptop and typed the whole thing out. It was hands down my coolest dream experience to date. 100% awake and 100% cognizant while being 100% disconnected from my physical body.
I woke up at about 7am this morning, quickly stirred for a moment and managed to doze back off. This is where I entered a lucid dream that was reminiscent of a game I’ve been playing recently called Cities XL, which is like a more in depth version of Sim City. In this dream I built a floating city in the sky like the Cloud City in the Empire Strikes Back. Rather than explain what it looks like, I’ve included a diagram of the layout of the city. All the buildings were spirally and futuristic with air buses and hover cars flying around. I didn’t really place the buildings individually, but I remember zoning areas for things such as residences, businesses, a space port, and industrial complexes and the buildings kind of manifested themselves within the designated zones, much like the game. I specifically remember there being a large city hall with two massive carved stone monoliths on either side. For some reason, a detail that sticks out in my mind is the low income housing, which were cone shaped structures hanging off the underside of the giant platforms the city was built on. Even though it didn't last very long, it was still a pretty sweet dream
This dream started out in the void. No landscape, no characters, nothing; just my dream-self and the absence of everything else. At first I didn’t know where I was or if I was dreaming, having sleep paralysis, or something similar. I tried touching my hands and spinning myself around to gain control, but to no avail. At last I yelled as loud as possibly could. Absolute silence. Fortunately, this confirmed that I was indeed dreaming and lucidity was achieved! So there I was floating out in the void. It's like my dreamscape was waiting for me to manifest it! So I decided to have some fun with physics/geometry. I had always wondered what a tesseract (4 dimensional cube) actually looked like, and now that I wasn't in dumb old 3D reality, I decided it'd be a prime time to conjure one up. It was easy to create the tesseract shape we all love and know from images and videos, though I can't recall what color it was. Next, I tried transforming it into a true 4D structure, which is where I started to run into problems. Every time I tried "folding" the object, it seemed to crumple up. The more I tried to manifest it, the more I began to feel an upward pull on my body and become panicked, like I was going to get launched out into oblivion like in that really dumb movie "The Forgotten." I decided it wasn't worth losing control of the dream, so I settled for doing something a little more feasible. I ended up conjuring forth two blue orbs and placing them opposite each other at either end of the void (if it can even have an end). I then accelerated them to tremendous speeds and crashed them into each other dead on. They exploded into billions of tiny particles in a fantastic bloom effect that was one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen. Further observing the collision, the particles, all orbiting their common center of mass, started to coalesce into a sphere, which eventually settled into a swirling disk. Regardless of whether it was entirely accurate to real world physics or not, it was insanely radical, and that's what counts! I collided orbs several more times, making them hit each other at skewed angles. This produced structures that resembled spiral galaxies. dead on collisions between a small orb and a large orb produced structures with protruded rings. Collisions between fast objects and slow objects painted comet-like smears across the void. I went on colliding orbs until the dream faded out and eventually I woke up. All in all, it was the coolest dream I've ever had. Prior to this dream, I had reinitiated my practice of daily mediation as well as multiple ADA sessions every day. I think both of those had a lot to do with this dream’s success.
