    1. A Lucid Dream

I believe that the dream I had last night was lucid. From what I can remember, I was in my friend's bedroom, in his apartment where I was spending the night. It appeared to be daytime, so the room was very well-lit. His roommate was sitting on the couch, which now had all of its cushions in-place, whereas in real life I had removed all the cushions to create a makeshift bed on the floor. But that isn't what tipped me off to the fact that I was dreaming. For some reason, what tipped me off was seeing my friend on the other side of the room getting clothes out of a laundry basket. There was no reason why that should have alerted me to anything, but I guess I remembered him having done that earlier and having no reason to do it again. I said out loud, "wait a minute, I'm dreaming, aren't I?" At this point, I decided to get as much done as possible before I woke up. The first thing I said was, "Okay, here's what we're going to do, we're going to ride dinosaurs." But as I was unable to get dinosaurs to appear, I changed my mind and said we were going to ride dragons. But then, deciding that that may be equally difficult, I turned to the couch, where my friend sat on the right and his roommate was still on the left. I told them to make out, and they did so. I was rather excited by how well this was working, but what made me feel uneasy was their total lack of expression or emotion. They had may as well have just been robots or something. I started to feel like I was making them do something against their will, and started to feel bad about it. Losing interest in this activity, I turned to the window. My friend was now sitting in the desk chair to the left of the window. His roommate was still on the couch. I said that one of them should open the window. Neither of them acted. I decided to be specific. I pointed to my friend's roommate, telling him to pull up the blinds on the window, and that I would think of something to do as I went along. He pulled up the blinds, and from outside it looked as though the room was several stories higher than it should have been in real life. I could see the top of a reddish colored tree near the parking lot. Everything else was a white light. Before I could think of something else to do, my friend began talking about something technical, something that I didn't understand and found very boring. I suppose I got distracted at this point and woke up.
